I have a 500k+ fan page which I use to post status updates people pay me for and something which I've just started noticing is the fact that if you have text and a link, the majority of the time you'll get more clicks then if you had a funny image or something. The reason why you ask? I believe that only the image will get the attention and they will like the image but they won't click they link as they probably think the link will just be the image or something similar. So basically, the image will take center stage and catch the eye and the link and text will be ignored. If however you right about something, you want to write it so they want to click the link to find out more. So, something like"15 tips to lose weight, number 4 is amazing", using something like this will want users to click as they'll want to see what tip number 4 is and why it's "amazing". Anyway, I hope this helps you guys.
