Are you struggling to grow on Youtube? If so, you know how hard it is to get the algorithm to show YOU some love. You have tried every possible way to boost your content but failed miserably in one way or another. Every day we find a new video that is either clickbait, kid-Cancerous content, or some other times random videos with poor but little to no real optimization.

It is true that youtube has grown a dark side over the years, but it also has become the Second Biggest Search Engine in the world, and it continues to grow exponentially by the minute. Regardless of the competition, or how saturated your niche may be, or how low the CPMS are you can still have a place to grow and make a living out of it!

Let me give you a brief introduction of myself for those that are not familiar with who I am and what I have done (past the Clickbaitiness of the title, there is more to me). Just like plenty of you, I had a full-time job, debts to pay and other real life complications I needed to take care. But with the little time that I was able to spare, instead of playing video games, I focused on learning what was available to me and put into practice. Now eight years later, here I am running a small network of YT channels (owned by me) with a little over 500k Subscribers across, and I am a consultant for some big channels finding ways to keep them growing at a steady rate but efficiently.

I have some past threads with some journeys on different methods using youtube as my primary source of traffic. I have shown success in growing and monetizing this traffic outside the platform. All of this applying the same practices we have heard/done over and over again. But is not just about implementing these practices, is also understanding why they work.

Here are some updated screenshots of the channels I've shared before, exactly one year ago, and you can see these channels have grown exponentially in a short period.

Here is a more recent channel with fresh results so you can see what si possible in just a short term without the need to "boost" your videos.

If you wonder what I have done with this money, I didn't spend it on a Ferrari or any fancy chains. I have a family, and I don't have time to waste. You are NOT rich because of how much money you make; what is the point of making money if you don't keep any of it. I used the money to help maintain the stability of my family and reinvested the rest in assets. Today I own a small production company with a little over 30 employees, helping scale my business allowing me to open more channels simultaneously.

Can you become a Youtuber or rank on youtube for your product organically? YES, YOU CAN! It's so easy to build an audience, but it takes strategy and proper execution, most importantly patience and determination. You can't do any of them without knowing how youtube works and what they want, then start asking yourself:
    • What would you want to see if you were Youtube?
    • Do you want to see spammers?
    • Do you want your site filled with poor content?
    • Do you want people to exploit your system?
    • Do you want your advertisers(customers) leaving because you are not giving any value?
    • Do you prefer more people coming to your site and staying in longer sessions, or do you want people to use your platform as a way to just get quick and free traffic?
    • Do you want to make the user experience better? How would you do it?
There is, of course, two kinds of people here, those that want to make the world a better place and those that don't care and will squeeze every penny out of it. Who would you rather have on your platform? That is knowing where the real value is; REAL engagement being one of the most important ones.

You might be asking yourself, What is the point of this thread? I wanted to open myself and help those that are struggling. I am currently in the phase of launching a blog/channel about growing a youtube channel. They are all setup and ready to go, but I need to create content to get the ball rolling. I thought one of the best ways to do that is by listening where people are struggling and using it as a base to start creating content.

Instead of making this thread any longer with the useless information you already know. Let's use this thread as an AMA. You can ask me anything you want related to Youtube starting from management marketing, production, monetization, networks, growth, etc. I will answer them to the best of my abilities.

NOTE: I do NOT offer my time or assistance for free, which is why we'll keep all questions here. I WILL NOT reveal any of my channels or niches. If you paid attention, you might guess at least one of the markets. :)

Preference of software is based upon the complexity of your content. I use Sony Vegas for simpler videos and after effects for more time-consuming editing.

Of course, there are a ton of automated softwares that allows you make videos in just a few clicks. Like I said, that's depending what type of content you are making you might use what makes your work more efficient in a timely matter.

Not going to Lie, If used this service myself and i've seen results. However, that was 5-6 years ago when views was the top factor to rank your videos. There is no point on doing that other than faking views for attraction.

I am not saying it doesn't work, but I don't see the point of spending $$$$ get millions of views with the hope that your ONE of your videos will appear in the ranks or trending page. For what is worse, these views are not even monetizable.

That's true. I blasted some of my videos with 3-5k Views and they got ranked good, and are now sitting at 200k Views. The Problem i have now is that the video niche i am sitting in kinda drops in views. It's in the compilation niche.
    Some more questions for you
    • Do you build backlinks to your videos?
    • What do you don't like about Youtube?
    • What part of your job is the worst in your opinion?
    • What advice would you give to a newbie that is just starting out?
    • How many videos a week would you recommend?

    Thanks :)

So ... we gotta address the elephant in the room, how did you make money, as per your title claim a whooping $197k ?

There are only two options when it come to Youtube adsense monetizing:

    1. You're creating unique content that tap to your core audience.

    2. Re-uploading content from other sources with some filters and tweak, aka the rampant "Vines" or Elsa/ Disney baiting channels type.

So which one you're doing at the moment?

I want to ask question too but I'm not sure are you producing or re-producing, can you clarify a bit?

Thank-you for this excellent post sir.

What would you say, in your opinion, are the worst niches to avoid like the plague?

    1. I build links thru my social shares which should suffice for the size of my channels. For a smaller or brand new channel, it is really important to do all the legwork yourself because that is what YT would like to see, that you can promote yourself and bring a new audience to the platform.
    2. I don't like adsense xD The pay is shit, for the same amount of visits I can monetize 3-4 times more elsewhere.
    3. The worst part, would be trying to get the people your work with at par with you. Other than that, I love what I do.
    4. My advice is to spend more time in research before executing a plan. Where you want to sell a product or become a youtuber, it is really important to understand your target audience and what you can offer to them.
    5. Any amount of videos is fine as long you are consistent. I currently do once a week for most of my channels, I even have daily uploads for others. The best past of starting out new is that you can push and experiment as much as you want cuz no one is watching. Youtube can't penalize you for content not being watched, so as soon as one of your experiments take off that where you should focus your production, into creating more content relevant to what is already trending in your channel.

There are a lot of avenues but it all comes to your niche.

When you say viral, I will assume you are talking about random viral videos. You might be limited but there is no limit to creativity. I would push CPA offers and paid sponsorships that want to get exposure.

That is very inaccurate statement when you say there are 2 options but I did understand where are you coming from.

I make original content, but I have used both methods by having rights to the creator's content and using my own original content.
You are referring to the compilation method, but this method can be done using your own content just like the Pregnant Elsa Videos. xD

But I don't do those videos, and that is what I meant when I said Clickbaity and cancerous videos at the beginning of the thread.

I can't really think of the worst niches because they all work, the only difference is the reach. One niche will have a broader audience than others, the more you narrow the topic of your niche the smaller the audience will be.

No..the content is exclusively created. Spy/Dating niche. Hence very less brands appear to onboard as sponsors

    Thì ra là thế xD

So it's time for a question regarding exposure, getting traffic to your video is usually the hardest part, which method did you use to get traffic to your video?

I saw a huge spike on one of your screenshot, which platform or method you used to promote your video?

Why don't you try adult offers/dating offers? There are plenty of networks that will accept that traffic.

Do you have a website? are you bringing those viewers to your other social media accounts? By bringing your traffic to instagram or facebook, you are looking at more sponsorship opportunities. I think Instagram will work best for your niche, will be a little more targeted if you can get creative with your posts. What I mean is that you might find fewer sponsorship opportunities in that niche for youtube. However, if you can come up with a good way to promote someone else's product to your audience thru youtube, you might pitch it at potential sponsors for consideration. You'd be surprised how many companies are willing to work with you if you have a strategy that fits both your channel audience and their needs.

I barely promote my videos unless it is for a brand new channel. But I would do any kind of promotion as long there is an audience interested. I have done forums, facebook pages, media buy and much more. What is more important to be engaging when your promote. You are introducing your content to a new audience, they will have feedbacks, opinions and even criticize if you can't engage right then and there, they are unlikely to subscribe to you. So I like doing manual work until the snowball effects hits my channels. At that point youtube does most of the work.

no prblem, glad to help <3

Creating quality content to your targeted audience, Is it worth it to watch, is it worth sharing, is it worth subscribing for more? If you can't offer that then how do you expect to grow? One way to know is to start pumping out content, promoting and analyzing how it performs. Then at that point, all you are doing is optimizing your content for better CTR, engagement, and watch-time. So thumbnails will determine your CTR, viewers tend to click your videos more based on your thumbnail > Title. If your thumbnail fails to capture your viewer's attention, they will ignore the title 60% of the times.

What kind of videos are these? Like review style, or compilations? do you show your face in the videos or are based on content around the web.
