How I Live a Private Life as an Internet Marketer

I don't want to quit from social media but always control myself to use very less and connect with only limited peoples, pages etc. to learn something more that i want, i also use other mediums for information & learning as Google, YouTube, Forum & websites etc.

No social media, no results on social media websites, using debit cards, bitcoin etc. all of this actually makes you suspicious for the intelligence agencies. Thats not a joke. I was talking with a few guys working for intelligences and their way of thinking is "if you try to avoid being watched, then you are suspicious", "what do you have to hide?" do you understand this way of thinking? Its actually pretty sick, but thats how they justify certain actions.

Once I met guys who were after some journalists and they justified to take one journalist down by confronting him with being "anti-semitic" because he NEVER wrote something about Israel or jewish people. They justified it by saying "His trick is not to talk about it and thats actually the sign he is an "anti-semit"." Is this shit ridiculous? But it works ffs. The people are extremely stupid when it comes to such stuff.

I need to quit Social Media too. But the thing is, I'm there for the knowledge i get, not the entertainment aspect.

As long as you don't have anything to hide you really don't need to worry about anything.

What intelligence agencies do your acquaintances work for?
I won't say the name, but I can tell you its from Germany and they only have three. I also met some Americans, while I lived in South Korea, where I am pretty sure they are working for intelligence agencies, just in what vocabulary they used while I talked politics with them.

The point is; We are living in very weird times. Everyone can justify everything. There is a old phone...the Nokia 8210, which is referred to as "gangster phone". It has no GPS, no Internet and nothing which could track back anything. So what happens? Drug dealers etc. are going to buy this phone somewhere on the internet. The logic is: Everyone who got this phone is suspicious, why would someone have this old Nokia today anyway? Now it gets interesting; The police/intelligences become the "honeypot" by themselves by selling these phones. So they know who is going to use it. Do you understand how it works?

I get people protecting themselves from indentity theft, cyber attacks and financial fraud but as for people trying to compete against government agencies and authorities - the 5-14 eyes are intelligence agencies and naturally have always been about espionage and exchange of information in their networks. Doesn’t it seem like more than coincidence that the vast majority, including most top VPN providers are within these countries? Do people seriously think they just sit there with this data and do nothing with it? That’s a lot of trust right there! Though to be fair, i’ve never come across a top VPN outside of Panama that has promised real zero-log policies.

But like you said, doesn’t seem like there’s a need to panic in this case unless you’re criminal.

PIA VPN is able to have a real zero log policy since they were setup to not be able to log.

you can do meditation for solving your every problem. if you do this, you will see day bey day, you all problem will go away and you will be always happy and productive.

That's why there's so much noise on social media. People have nothing to say, but they'll say some BS anyway just so they look normal and active. Otherwise they might fit into some stupid profile.

Social media is cancer, man. It was supposed to be a tool for healthy interactions, to meet old friends, but it's become online cancer. Especially in hot topics like politics and religion, it's just unbearable.

Yes, I think Facebook will die very soon. Its dying a slow death tho. Its just getting bored and for companies the algorithm is just fucked up. I had a page with 300k likes. Before all the algorithms I had a great engagement rate. Now I get like 300 likes and a few comments. Then always the notification "Spend $10 for ads on this post and you can reach 10k people" blabla. Its just ridiculous.

Saying facebook/social media will die is like saying the banking industry will die.

Social media is a part of our culture now, and personally, I fucking hate it. It puts a lot of social pressures on people and opens up conversations like "Oh why didn't you reply" - with which I would respond to "Fuck off, it's only been a few hours since we spoke".

HOWEVER, I also believe it's done a great deal of good for the general public:

- Innovation has thrived because of social media - more and more businesses are having to come up with better angles which is destroying the old business structures.
- Idiots are more aware of what's available
- The average person is able to access services they weren't previously able to
- It's provided voices for those that were previously not heard (VICE for example, may be a libtard platform now run by cunts, but previously they documented some really important issues that were previously unknown off)
- We as internet marketers can claim its cancerous and all that bs, but ultimately a lot of us have profited from social media. I am a victim of this, and openly admit I am a hypocrite: I don't like social media, but I've made good money from it.

Unfortunately, whenever there is a paradigm shift in how we communicate/operate, there have always been adverse affects historically (industrial revolution is in some cases argued as catalysts for some major wars). Now however, lot of those adverse affects are more apparent to us down to the fact that every idiot has a fucking voice via social media.

Social media is here to stay, whether we like it or not, and that reptile zuckerberg will just adapt. Whether that means VR social media or some other means of delivering content, it'll always be in our world now.

The issue isn't social media, it's the people. Going back to a point I touched; even the idiots of the world have a voice now, and because we have such a big population, it doesn't take much for an idiot to have idiot followers. Which in turn leads to a mass of idiots ranting about the same crap.

Even if we took away social media, these idiots will forever find a way so long as there is the internet, we just have to accept that instead of going on witch-hunts for specific platforms.

A better solution instead of a witch-hunt would be to educate (no I'm not talking about uni degrees) and develop a better internet culture, but I won't go further into this as I'll go into politics.

I personally don't partake in social media much, I like the OP's thought process though. I go through phases of social activity, and whenever I'm most socially active, I tend to lose focus in my business life.

I don't see a death coming though.

If you think about it, social media is simply a news aggregator where you know "friends". And the "friend" concept sucks because 90% of Facebook acquaintances aren't friends at all.

So I guess "social media" will change back to something like Reddit or Twitter, where like 1% use their real names and people just exchange news and stuff.

Social media the way Myspace, Orkut or Facebook do it won't stay for long IMO. That shit where they identify you and monitor your life like a mouse and then decide which political side they want to boost in every election is just too damn 1984 for people to fall for.

But social media like Reddit and Twitter, where news and stuff is commented on by relatively anonymous people, that's here to stay for sure. Just my opinion about that.

IMO twitter and reddit have done far more damage than facebook ever can, because you get a bunch of anonymous tinfoil hat rednecks on there preaching their shit, so that's a far worse scenario than facebook evolving.

I think its also a case of perspective: my business partner swears by twitter, to the point where he thinks facebook is dead. But then he comes into work each day and realises how much volume we push on facebook day in day out and saves me the speech about how twitter is god; my point is everyone sees it in their own light, but yeah as @HelloBTCMINER pointed out, facebook is by no means dying.

The volume they drive from asia is unreal, and people love fb out there...

Those same rednecks are on Facebook. A bunch of them are on my timeline's at least.

Facebook makes U$ 34 billion revenue but only U$ 2 billion in Asia. As webmasters we all know how much traffic Asia can drive, but as you can see it's financially low value traffic.

Their shares are doing great after-market though right now, so for the short term FB is definitely not dying. Though their monthly chart surely does paint a concerning picture.

I think there will be quite interesting grow in smaller markets, still a lot of new opportunities.

I would not agree with the idea of just shuting down social media account. Just not to spend much time, decide what information is important for your and if you feel bad about that, just close it for day.

The only thing that could die in regards to social media, is the Silicon Valley/California stronghold on it, but its unlikely without some Trust busting. If you aren't approved by SV, your app can be blocked on Apple and Google, lose payment processors and even lose hosting.
