PR2 is laughably easy to get. Even up to PR6 is relatively simple to obtain. PR7 and above is where the real money is.

I agree with you that PR 2 is relatively very easy to get, I was able to get a PR3 after 1 and half months of link building to a fresh new site. Well for PR6, how'd you do it?

Do directory submission in high PR site, than you will 100% archived PR2 in 2 mouth.

If you are going to count pr, you can start with PR 5+.

And pr5 to get its not that hard nor is it expensive, just need the know how

So true. One of my last sites that I launched 1 month before the last PR update is PR3 and it barely gets traffic. I does not rank on page 1 yet.

Well its not a big deal, i ve got PR3 in one month.

PR 4 and 5 within 3-4 months.

why care for pr?
the website that made me the most money to this day has pr3 and is ranking #1 for very competitive keywords since like 2009.

Traffic is what counts, unless of course you are selling backlinks.

You should keep concentration on regulur update with unique and copyscape passed contents.
Get backlinks by different means such as forum posting, blog commenting on relevant niche sites, link from squiddo lens / hub pages and so on. Nobody can you guarantee for increase in PR , but most probably you can get high PR. This is the only right way.

In 2012 a great number of people will be really upset at the end of an era of link buying, swapping and baiting. Now Search engines had drawn their attention to humans for ranking, both in the short and long terms. In other words, social media and human relevancy, not pageranks that will matter!

My website went from PR0 to PR2 in 2-3 months with only 2-4 backlinks..... Well, unless the links i put in every one of my facebook posts count as a backlink
