I'm new to the whole adwords marketing thing. I've tried running ads with Google a couple of times and haven't had any success. But for the last 2 months or so I'm actually making profits with really good conversions.

I know a lot of you veterans on adwords are doing this and other forms of marketing. But I want to share whats actually been working for me.

When I first started out I had the whole game backwards, I was looking for and using keywords to bring in targeted traffic. My only mistake was bringing in traffic on a broad scale, costing me hundreds and even a thousands of dollars.

Lets say I was marketing fat loss for idiots, well what I was doing was trying to keywords for " dieting, weight loss, muscle building, etc. " Now this was my mistake, I didn't no how to monitor or work my campaigns in order to use keywords like these. I lost money gambling on these words and didn't learn a thing. I was frustrated, I make a lil over a grand a day with no cost from marketing on social networks and articles. So this really pissed me off when I invested money and didn't see a return in profits.

As time went on started noticing how competitors were using adwords to their total advantage. How they were doing this was simple, and the conversions were so much better.

Here are my steps to finally profiting with adwords:

    1. Make a landing page as a review for the product in your niche, if I'm using fast loss 4 idiots, then I would grab 2 to 3 other competitors in the same niche. Then put them side by side and give em some ratings with stars and comments. ( Pros & Cons work really well ) Then I posted them on my landing page based on gravity and refund rates in CB's directory.

    2. Keywords I used Is the same I use for every niche, I never changed them.
The only thing I would change is the name of the product.

So for fat loss 4 Idiots I would make a few keywords such as these"

    fatloss4idiots , is fatloss4idiots a scam? , fatlossforidiots , fatloss4idiots review, does fatloss4idiots really work? , www fatloss4idiots.c0m , hxxp://fatloss4idiots.c0m[/url] , and so on.

I stopped trying to get people to visit my site under the keywords " dieting, weight loss, muscle building, etc. " Doing so would just cost me money for people interested in weight loss and looking for general information. Don't get me wrong I'm sure keyword phrases like this works, but my conversions went sky rocketing using the other method.

    3. Come up with a title and description that will grab peoples attention. Like
" Is Fatloss4Idots a SCAM? " try different variations also " Scam Alert Fatloss4Idiots" In your description get right to the point, you want everybody and anybody looking for fatloss4idiots to click your ad.
" STOP! Read before you Join. Is fatloss4idoits a Scam? " be unique with it make it stand out from the crowd.

    4. Do this same method over and over again for the next product that's in your review. Post like 3 good pics of websites and define each of them.
I also after the top 3 were posted went back to CB and added more sites in the review. But this time I didn't post picture or a review. I just listed them under the main products and said " More top Selling Systems " Then listed them one after each other in text and a hyperlink.

I've noticed when people come to your page under those keywords their already pre sold and are looking to spend their money. So the longer you keep them on your page the better your conversions will be.

That's it guys put it to work, watch what your competition is doing and learn from them. Their not spending money in adwords if their not making none back.

Yes , Im not saying copy them exactly, I'm saying study them. What are they doing a learn from them. You still have to fine tune it.

I don't think it matters much, I've used blogger and wordpress. Some times I even use weebly to make review sites.

Also, call a company out. For example, I was promoting Orchard Bank Classic MasterCard. I created a review site with a review of the Orchard card and all of its competitors.

Each competitor had a page with a direct comparison of their credit card and Orchard bank (Ex - Compare the Orchard Bank MasterCard with Rewards 660). The comparison was as detailed as possible (all fees, interest rates, etc...) and included a blurb about how bad their card compared to Orchard.

I created an adwords campaigns for each comparison page looking something like the one below and linked directly to the comparison page.

    Avoid Rewards 660 -
Avoid this credit card! Find out
why this card is a scam

This tactic provided me some very cheap clicks (rewards 660 credit card currently goes for .05 per click) and an awesome conversion rate. The last month I ran this (Orchard pulled the affiliate program), I generated 47 conversions at $22 per conversion and my adspend was less than $15.

Thanks for this advice I see the value of weeding out info seekers for the person starting out.
I would like to know what steps people are taking to hide referral links from competitors and from affil networks.
Right now those are the concerns I have.
    Thanks again gogetta
