Im posting this here as i got most of the information here originally, which helped alot. I've added a few different steps which im sure will help others. Firstly i started my new acocunt on the 2nd April. I used tweetflash to add 2000 members to follow. Within day one i had 600 members. Used the 'follow only' option to get rid of the ones who were'nt following me. Second day i could only add around 1400 as you can only add to the limit of 2000. So understandably i only gained 300 followers the next day. I repeated this option until i hit around 1500 followers. This is when flashtweet started to become unstable. Various errors such as wouldn't load, exceeded rate of 100requests and hour (Even though i hadn't even used it that day). I then started to use twitterkarma, this is really slow to log in, i would have thought my browser had crashed. But i let it load (after about 10mins) and i could choose the option of 'only following' (Again took a while to load). This got rid of all the people who i was following but they werent following me back. Incrementally the people i was following would slowly disappear. N.B at this point i could use flash tweet if the total number of people i was follow and people following me was below 2000 together. If not then i would have done it a different way (See below). Flashtweet proved to be useless after 1700 followers. It was useful for the headstart, no doubt, definately helped getting the ball rolling. But for now it was no good. I opened my ghost mouse app (You do a routine with the mouse for x seconds and the mouse repeats this motion until you tell it to stop), i searched the niche i was following and picked someone who had a fairly large following. I avoid the larger followers such as obama and theonion etc. You would find alot of people who would just follow them and leave their account, rendering it inactive as they woudlnt follow you. When i had found the account where i was to get the followers, i would click the followers link, this would give me the list of followers that were following that particular person. I would set the ghost mouse to click on 'follow' button under each avatar. Then next page, then click play on the ghost mouse app. This would autoplay the app, therefore it would repeat until you stopped it. I would do this at the end of the night or where i was away for a few hours. As this can take a while. Thoughts- In all ghost mouse means i can set it up in 15seconds and i can leave it for a few hours after. This would add the followers on the web without any problems. I have deleted 5000 people at once and added 5000 people more straight after with no problems. When i see people who say they have added 200 people and got banned, clearly you are spamming something or you are not updating your profile to make it seem legit. Just add random updates at a time 'Getting ready for work'. It doesnt matter what it is along as people think it real. It got to the point where i had too many mutual friends. This may seem good, but it mean that when i had 5000 followers and 1500 of the were mutual followers. I got rid of these via twitterkarma (if it loaded, twitterkarma tends to get unstable if the number of followers+following gets greater than 7000, hence my reliance of ghost mouse). Anyway, the number of followers i gained dropped about 100 which was no big deal, this mean i could add an additional 1500 people, which would mean i would get another 200-300 people. One tip i can recommened is you add people from the USA, i added 4000 people yesterday from the UK. Must have gotten about 100 more followers. I thought i was blocked or something. I deleted them last night and added 4000 people from the USA. Overnight i had gotten 900 more followers in 12hours. I should have 10k followers by the end of the week. I have heard you can add as many people as you want after 10k? I am not sure, could just be a rumour. But as it stands i'm pretty sure theres just a 10% more rule )(Can only have 10% more following than followers). I hope this helps anyone out, i'll be back later on to answer any questions if you need some answers.
