If you're like me you're sick of writing. I got to a point where I started doing mindless 15-45min whoring jobs on Fiverr just so I could get some "play money" to hire someone else to write for me. Ya, not the best strategy lol.

    So what did I do?

I went to the library. I went and rented 8 old books in my niche and I copy them nearly word for word. I change the wording around a little bit to make myself feel better, but its nearly identical. Your content will be 100% unique and it'll be well written. Ya you're violating copyright, but who's gonna know?

I suppose these publishing companies could check up on their books written back in 1970-80's, but I highly doubt it. If you're worried about that just use the content off-site on some article directories/guest posts instead. At least you have a little barrier that way if the shit were to ever hit the fan.

I know this isn't a new strategy, but it took me a while to actually do it. Maybe this post will help someone take action.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone heard of publishing companies getting people in trouble for this?

if the books are long enough.
you could build an authority site off of them :D

anyway thanks for the share, this will be a good help for newbies.

if its in a niche that hasn't changed in over 75 years you can actually legally copy all you want from books made when the author died in 1936 or earlier. and if its a semi rare book that hasn't been published in ages you will basically be getting 'unique' content as well.

How did you copy the book,by hand or scanning it in?

I used to do this but one chapter can take 10 pages. and its hard to devide them cause then you have to read them first. :(

If your going to be doing this method I'd recommend a portable handheld scanner so that you can do it at the library. Office depot has one that costs $99 but it can only scan items up to 5" wide. http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/199986/Vupoint-Solutions-Magic-Wand-Portable-Scanner/

What suggestions do you have for an image to text converter - I currently do this but since Im a quick typer - I usually just type the stuff out.

Do not do this all the time - but yeah - it is most of the time unique.
I only use it for the Web 2.0 properties - so if any copyright infringements - its not on my money site

    Cheers

If anyone wants, I have around 4000 (40GB) of ebooks to bulkly OCR and PDF2HTML.

But personally I'm having a hard time with infringement parrot on my right shoulder.

So to the people who say this is too time consuming. Wondering how you get well written content faster than this without outsourcing it. And don't give me some "I spin it" BS, because it is just that... BS. It takes 10 min to copy a 500 word blog post out of one of these books.

I've done this too. Its a lot faster with Dragon naturally speaking. just read and it types. Its also easier to just paraphrase as you are reading and the content is unique and you can get around any copyright issues at the same time

But if it is a much older book where the author died 1936 or earlier, then you do not need to worry about copy write. :pirate: But yea, DNS would be much better to use then a handheld scanner.

Since it only scans 5in widths could you scan horizontally instead of vertically
you would probly only need 2 scans per page
