    Hey guys,

Just an article I wrote today for my site that I wanted to share. Probably obvious or old news to some but if it helps a few then great. It basically goes over step by step how I add anchor text variation to my work. Let me know your thoughts! :)

    ---------------------

Anchor text variation is a key fundamental to any successful SEO campaign. If you are not familiar with this term, anchor text refers to the keywords that you use in the backlinks that are built to your site.

    For Example:

    The following HTML code:

    <a href="http://www.google.com">Anchor Text Example</a>

Will result in the "clickable" link below:

    Anchor Text Example

Here the "Anchor Text" is the keyword "Anchor Text Example".

Recently Google has been cracking down more and more on overly optimized websites, so the variation of anchor texts in linkbuilding has become even more important. This should make sense as obviously "natural" link growth for a website involves hundreds or thousands of varying anchor texts created by hundreds or thousands of different people. For example if your site was an authoritative website on "Dog Training", it would have a myriad of anchor texts. Some examples could include:

    Dog Training
    Canine Training
My Favorite Dog Training Tips Are Here
    Rachel Perzoni
    Doggie Website
    Find great advice here
    etc.

Remember Google does not want its search results artificially manipulated. It wants sites that should be at the top to be at the top. That is how they make money. Unfortunately your affiliate or Adsense site probably shouldn't be at the top of the search results, but that doesn't mean it can't be :)

So to give Google what it wants, we need to incorporate anchor text variation into our linkbuilding. Though I highly recommend the use of automated SEO tools, if you do not know how to use them, you can do A LOT of damage to your site. Blasting 1,000s of links with only a handful of anchor texts is a sure way to trigger a Google Penalty filter. Remember if you have thousands of links to your site, they aren't going to be only linked to with 1 or 2 keywords. This is obvious to Google (and it should be to you), and they have a filter to weed out sites that use this sort of artificial manipulation out of their top placings. You may be able to get a top ranking for the short term without variation, but long term results will come from anchor text variation and "mimicking" natural link growth. So if you are new to automated SEO tools and have questions, please post them in the forum and I will try to get back to you ASAP.

The anchor text variation strategy I outline below is meant to be used with automated SEO Tools. The use of automation is really the only way you're going to be able to add significant amounts of anchor text variation to your website's backlink profile in a timely manner. So without further adieu, here is the way I add anchor text variation to my own personal projects!

[SIZE=+2]Gyuman82's Simple Yet Effective Anchor Text Variation Strategy[/SIZE]

Step #1: Use The Google Adwords Keyword Tool To Generate Relevant Keywords

If you haven't already, please sign up for a free Adwords account at www.google.com/adwords. You will also need an Adwords account if you do plan on using SEO tools as the Adwords Keyword Tool is integrated into many of the most popular programs available today.

Once we are logged in to our Adwords account, navigate over to the keyword tool as in the picture below:

Step #2: Turn Keyword Results Into Spintax Submission Ready Format

Once we arrived at the keyword tool, I will plug in my primary keyword in the search box and click "search". On subsequent campaigns you can use secondary words, but if this is your first run at anchor text variation just use your primary keyword.

Adwords will then populate the below area with 100's of "related keywords" that Google thinks is relevant to my search query.

Note we want to make sure that "broad" match is checked (Step 1 in photo below), as this will give us the results format we need. This shouldn't be a problem though as it is the default setting.

Next we want to select all the results (Step 2 in photo below), and then navigate to the "View As Text" option (Step 3 in photo below) and select the keywords we highlighted (in this example it's "selected 100").

A box then will appear with all the highlighted keywords.

Copy and paste this list and cruise on over to The Spintax Article Directory (you can use other sites I just like this one). Paste all your keywords you grabbed from the Adwords keyword tool into the Spintax Output Creator (See photo below) and click "Create Spintax List"

Upon completing the steps outlined above, the unique-txt.com spintax creator will spit out something like this for our 100 keywords:

    {about dogs|www dog training com|a dog training|how to dog training|training dog|dog training dog training|dog training how to|dog and training|dog training training|training a dog|about dog training|how to breed dogs|the dog trainer|dog trainer|dog trainer training|dogtraining|dog canine training|canine dog training|training a puppy|puppy training|train a dog|how to train the dog|how to train dog|how to train a dog|train dog|dog train|training puppies|how to train a puppy|how to puppy train|train a puppy|train puppy|how to train puppy|training dogs|training for dogs|dogs training|house training|dog trainers|the dog whisperer|dog whisperer|how to train dogs|train dogs|dog problems|training tips|dog obedience|a dog obedience|obedience training|pet training|puppy potty training|potty training a puppy|potty training puppy|how to potty train puppy|potty train puppy|how to potty train a puppy|potty training puppies|how to house train a puppy|house training puppy|house training a puppy|puppy house training|training techniques|how train your dog|how do you train your dog|how to train your dog|train your dog|obedience dog training|training dog obedience|dog obedience training|dog training obedience|dog training course|dog behavior|dog training classes|obedience class|dog training pet|pet dog training|puppy dog training|dog puppy training|dog training puppy|dog training class|information about dogs|dogs behavior|your dog training|training your dog|dog tricks|pet trainer|obedience school|dog training courses|dog training collar|training dog collar|dog collar training|dog obedience classes|dog collars training|dog training collars|training dog collars|dogtrainers|how to potty train a dog|how to potty train dog|potty train a dog|potty train dog|in house dog training|house training dog|dog house training}

This spintax output above is pretty much the universal format for submission that most of the leading SEO tools on the market today utilizes. Now that we have our keywords in spintax format, it's time to build some links!

Step #3: Plug Into SEO Tool Of Choice And Blast It Out!!!

We can then use the above spintax output created and make our links as follows by placing it into proper HTML code that our SEO automated tools can use:

    <a href="http://www.ourdogtrainingwebsite.com">{about dogs|www dog training com|a dog training|how to dog training|training dog|dog training dog training|dog training how to|dog and training|dog training training|training a dog|about dog training|how to breed dogs|the dog trainer|dog trainer|dog trainer training|dogtraining|dog canine training|canine dog training|training a puppy|puppy training|train a dog|how to train the dog|how to train dog|how to train a dog|train dog|dog train|training puppies|how to train a puppy|how to puppy train|train a puppy|train puppy|how to train puppy|training dogs|training for dogs|dogs training|house training|dog trainers|the dog whisperer|dog whisperer|how to train dogs|train dogs|dog problems|training tips|dog obedience|a dog obedience|obedience training|pet training|puppy potty training|potty training a puppy|potty training puppy|how to potty train puppy|potty train puppy|how to potty train a puppy|potty training puppies|how to house train a puppy|house training puppy|house training a puppy|puppy house training|training techniques|how train your dog|how do you train your dog|how to train your dog|train your dog|obedience dog training|training dog obedience|dog obedience training|dog training obedience|dog training course|dog behavior|dog training classes|obedience class|dog training pet|pet dog training|puppy dog training|dog puppy training|dog training puppy|dog training class|information about dogs|dogs behavior|your dog training|training your dog|dog tricks|pet trainer|obedience school|dog training courses|dog training collar|training dog collar|dog collar training|dog obedience classes|dog collars training|dog training collars|training dog collars|dogtrainers|how to potty train a dog|how to potty train dog|potty train a dog|potty train dog|in house dog training|house training dog|dog house training}"></a>

When our SEO tool of choice submits the above links the resulting backlinks will have anchor texts as follows:

    Anchor Text #1: About Dogs
Anchor Text #2: A Dog Training
Anchor Text #3: How to potty train a dog
    Anchor Text #4: Dog Whisperer
Anchor Text #5: Dog Obedience Classes

    etc. etc.

Don't forget that we also need to link to not just our homepage but to our inner pages as well. You can use the unique-txt.com spintax creator to also format URLs. So ideally when we add variation it should incorporate both URL and keyword variation like below:

    <a href="{http://www.ourdogtrainingwebsite.com|http://www.ourdogtrainingwebsite.com/page2|http://www.ourdogtrainingwebsite.com/page3|http://www.ourdogtrainingwebsite.com/page4|http://www.ourdogtrainingwebsite.com/page5}">{Keyword 1|Keyword 2|Keyword 3|Keyword 4|Keyword 5}</a>

Thus we can add anchor text variation not only to our homepage but also to our inner pages as well creating an even more natural looking backlinking profile in the eyes of the search engines.

    Conclusion:

So I hope that you found this article to be a useful way that you can add thousands of anchor text variations in your linkbuilding campaigns in a matter of minutes. I usually like to mix "varied anchor text submissions" like the ones above after maybe every 2-3 focused keyword submissions. I believe by doing so you will be able to fly under the Google Radar and experience some major SERP boosts. Good luck :D

Some good points - use all variations of longtails as anchor text.
Already been using similar methods to this, but it's good information for people who don't know
