    If you've got SEO clients who are paying you money for SEO services then you need to show them that you are the real deal by providing SEO reports which are up to scratch.

    A lot of the time, gaining or losing a client can be as simple as how they feel about you and your approach. The moment I switched over to a proper rank tracking and reporting system I could see an increase in positive attitude and communication with clients. They want the special professional treatment and they want to see you're accountable for your work.

    I've worked as an employee of several SEO agencies over the years and have provided my own custom end of month reports for my own clients as well, but for the past six months I switched to a new type of report and clients have been pleased with them to say the least.

    Bare minimum it costs $19 a month but the upgrade from my old reporting system to this system was completely worth it considering the system automatically tracks rankings as well as provides reports. Either way i'll show you how I create the reports and you can chop and change the structure/text to fit your own needs or reporting system.

    The way I keep clients very happy is by offering several things which are all provided by a service called Rank Ranger;

    • I provide a client login to a RankRanger account which can show daily rankings(specific to each client) - This stops clients feeling insecure and having second thoughts about the campaign as they can see ranking changes on a daily basis.
    • I create a professional end of month report using RankRanger's white label report option
    • I'm able to display data from integrated data such as Ahrefs, Majestic SEO, indexed pages, competitor strength & performance analysis, webmaster tools data, Google analytics and more in the client login and in end of month reports
    • I can provide custom reports specific to each client, such as the top 10 results for a search, keywords used to enter the site or simply to dig deeper into the data for a client who wants to see more.
    • All of this is delivered on the 1st of every month as it is automated(apart from an optional summary if you want to create it).
    • I can show progression(increase in rankings), accountability (increase in backlinks) traffic (google analytics data) and quickly assess any problems the site may have (webmaster tools integration).
    • RankRanger shows me the exact data of Panda, Penguin and other Google updates so I can analyze and see if I was hit by an update.

    I've uploaded a template of my report using one of the blackhat sites I track, the data is minimal but the reports look much better once you have some data. Feel free to use the report paragraphs and structure as you see fit. You don't need a rankranger account to use the structure in your own reports, this is just an example report but the data can easily be changed.

    I hope you guys don't mind, the template is available for download on my blog with a lot more info on how I create my reports as well as the structure and what I write in them, find it here http://agentblackhat.com/how-to-cre...nts-with-rankranger-download-a-free-template/

    If you are an SEO agency of have your own SEO clients i'm sure you'll be happy with the reports that can be made.
