How I change My Proxy; Free and Easy

I decided to post this because is a subject in which I had trouble for quite some time, and even though there are excellent posts here in this subject, me, as a noob, didn't really knew how to apply them.

Here's how I do things now (is very simple actually):

1. Get proxies.

a) One way I get good proxies everyday is by tube 1ncreaser. You can get a free copy here in the forums

Then download the proxy list (they update it everyday) and there you go, hundreds of free proxies!

b) You can visit hxxp://www.xroxy.com/proxylist.htm or hxxp://www.aliveproxy.com/ and get free proxies.

2. Once you find the proxies, you need to set them up in your browser. I have used Firefox for years now, so I'm not sure how to put them in IE. For Firefox just do this:

a) Go to Tools - Options - open the 'Network' tab, then click 'settings'
b) Check 'manual proxy configuration' and type the proxy of your choice and the port. The format of a proxy is something like xxx.xx.xxx.xx:XXXX. The port is whatever comes after the ':'

3. You are done! To make sure the proxy works just go to a site like whatismyipaddres.com.

Alternatively, you can get TOR at torproject.org; Tor is very effective, but I don't use it because is very slow. You can try it though.

Ya but they definately aren't high anon proxys so chances are they (the website) will discover your using proxy's, and definately companies like CL or other places could get suspicious of your activities. Just my .02

Yea this is a good method if you don't do anything serious. If you indeed want to do something serious and you need proxies with good speed and stuff, check out my signature

Expect proxies like those from the tubeincrease list be on blacklists + known to CL and similar services
youtube cares not so much about proxies as CPA/PPC/AD companies

I know these proxies are not the highest quality, and yes, many sites know when you are using them. If you want higher quality proxies you must pay for them, but this post was not intended intended for experienced users, it was more of a simple guide for newbies struggling with proxies, like I was a couple months ago.

I would have welcomed something like this post back then; with this method I have been able to make several youtube, yahoo answers, and AC accounts, and besides it will increase your privacy level.

As far as the speed goes, some of them are very decent and definitely much more faster than Tor. The only way I knew I could be 'anonymous' at least to some extent in the internet was using Tor, but I never used it because it was way too slow.

I find it interesting that the tubeincreasers can be downloaded without buying it. That's strange.

I like to use foxyproxy with firefox.

You add the proxies and name them what you want. Doing this with AC is good since you can name the proxies the same as your account name.

I'd really love to watch, for example, Rai Uno on-line, or some BBC comedy sketches, and for these I'll need different proxys. Is it dangerous to try changing it? Since some people were warning about "suspicious activities" I got a little doubtful, since I'm a newcomer. By the way, is there a major difference between the proxys? I mean, do I need a specific proxy for a specific website or specific country??
