    Hey guys,

So I got High PR Society just to test it, I used their "new site" tutorial and added some homepage links, contextual links etc.. (bare in mind this was the only link building I used).

It created 4,990 backlinks from this 1 domain (which btw sucked ASS)

    My Rankings NUKED -

Cancelled my subscription and won't EVER be using their service again.

Yup, SEO is all about testing the waters.. I dropped $30 for this to see what kind of effect it would have. I've now disavowed all the links and my rankings have recovered for this site and have cancelled my subscription.

Failure is often better than Success in my opinion.

Why would you buy an SEO service from someone if you are providing one(from your sig)?

Please update us with the dis-vowing if it works or not.

Well SEOmoz have Distilled do a LOT of their SEO in return for promotion of Distilled's work. I don't see why me buying other SEO services would have anything to do with my own SEO service.. I like having a look at other blog networks compared to my own and this 1 is crap..

SEO is all about testing services, but if I were selling SEO services, I would not be making it public on a SEO forum that I had just bummed a site. It is also about tact too.

No, it was after 4 days (this is print screens from a while back, I'd drafted it as I was waiting to see if disavow would have an effect)

@Mickyfu - I wouldn't use this on a clients site, this was on a test site idgaf about but still for a blog network that promises to "dominate the SERPs" for $30 you can f&^k up your SERPs xD

I haven't used High PR Society, but a review from a competitor should not be trusted 100%. Perhaps if some other clients can throw some light in this case.

We aren't competitors I don't publicly sell my blog network nor will I ever... I use it for my own and my clients sites.

But that's fair enough, this is just my review of them...

I think High PR Society already has a poor reputation here,
although the do advertise in a CPM spot onsite.

Did it really make 5000 links from one site? That's crazy..

Huh, I haven't been on here in ages (over a year), but I was with High PR Society before I left, and I bought it because there were a lot of great reviews. It did okay for my site, definitely not negative, but I just remembered I still have credits on my account.

How did you end up with so many links from 1 domain? I thought they said they provide homepage backlinks on their site. Sorry if this is a little bit off topic.

Just wondering why not just build yourself a private mini blog network instead of of using this type of linking? At least then you control all aspects of the linking and diagram. For alot of our clients we will grab 6-7 high pr domains through godaddy closeout auctions, and build a network for each of our clients domains. For a investment of say $100.00 for 7 PR3-4 domains, and roughly $45 for seo hosting on seperate ips, its impossible to beat. Add another $200 in there to load down the blogs with good tier1 content and you good to go. We rank alot of our clients using this method.

I have my own network, I was just testing there, wanted to see if it actually did the job and it didn't xD

Also I can host 20 sites with different C-Class IPs for $20/month so it's all good.

I selected a contextual link and it basically gave me a footer link with some text around it..

Being the owner of HPS, I can weigh in and call bullshit.

    - It isn't possible to get 5000 links for $30. The most it could get you is 1200 blog comment links OR 400 articles.
    - I couldn't find your account and a quick search for 'laptopmalaysia' didn't turn up anything. It's possible I missed it, but it's also possible I didn't...
    - When posting articles, you physically can't go on the same site for at least a few days. In the smallest category of sites there are about 150 sites, so you'd be spread across all (or almost all) of those.

Everyone in the thread is right to call BS. I'm not sure if this was an intentional slam job or just a bad test, but in this specific case it's not accurate.

Just like every other service, we have people that have great results and bad results with HPS. More often than not, the bad results come from poor link building - either no link type diversity or over anchor optimization.
