How hard would it be to take a new site to top 10 in 1 year with really good white hat SEO for the keywords:

wow gold
buy wow gold
cheap wow gold

i saw the competition is incredibly big, how much would it cost around to rank a site like this in the first page at least in at least 1 year

?

The cost can be calculated after making detailed analysis of the keywords. It may take less than 1 year if the competition is not too much high.

why wow? as far as blizzard goes, diablo 3 is the "new". did you mean to say diablo 3??

i think theres more $ still going on on wow and will be for a while
either way diablo 3 is way easier to rank, its a high competition facing but still not much compared to wow and all the work that has been behind it :S

a few thousand? a few tens at least right?

Isn't a new Expansion coming out for wow? At the moment probably still more popular the D3...

If you can get good pagerank (combined with a decent link building strategy) then it wouldn't be hard. On the other hand, the cost to obtain the needed pagrank would require a budget of $5,000 - $15,000/year depending on how high you wish to push the pagerank. Unless, of course, you can get multiple backlinks from very high pagerank pages (pr7+) for free :p

Depends upon the competition bro.

If the competition is really big consider making a authority website with alot of related content.

Might take alot of dedication and properly done SEO

I have a site in that exact niche, been working on it for over a year now. I found the best way to get traffic was from twitter and fb. I've ranked pretty well for various long-tail keywords but getting close to anything decent for the main ones is a bitch. Yahoo answers is always good for a quick boost in traffic. Are you a seller or affiliate?

ahhh nice advices

Im a small seller, but my main bussiness is related to this niches and we have been doing extremelly good and interested in doing a big investment and try this huge market, ive seen its extremelly competitive but the EV payoff is way bigger if its a successful campaign

i guess i might give it a try but under all ive read it seems extremelly hard to rank

i had best wow gold site for some time till my site got deindexed. I dont think competition was that big. Nobody will know answear to your question as G is changin to much crap. Do we really know what will work for seo next week? No we dont ..........

If you go completely whitehat, you won't even hit page1 in 1 year :D

would it be better to try diablo 3 and at the same time easier and more profitable for the future?

Diablo 3 is tanking. Spending even $10 on a domain to sell gold is a waste. Went from over 140k online at peak to now 12k at peak. In less than a month.

I still don't get what a wow site is?

wow= World of warcraft, a Blizzard mmorpg. A website selling gold or guides for wow is very profitable but the competition for the first page is really huge and need some amounts of money and a good seo blueprint
