I have an available .net I kind of want to buy. The 3 exact keywords in the domain get 75k seaches/ month (with 13 million competitors), and the exact keywords except with a "s" on the second keyword, gets over 200k searches/ month. Now considering the competition is high, would it still be easy to rank because of the domain, or would it be just as hard as using any domain?

Btw, are any of those "rank on the first page" services legit? There was someone who offered to do it for $97 in december...

    Thanks

If those rank on the first page services were legit then everyone would rank on the first page, for a few minutes...before another page ranked on the first page bumped it off the first page.

And that's what I think about those services.

I recently bought a domain with the exact two words I want to rank. Just naturally, my domain ranked on the first page without a problem because the competition is low enough. However, it didn't rank in first place. The only way for me to get first place is to overpower the number one ranking site by adding lots content, and linking.

Having an exact match really helps. But it won't keep you secure. The rest is a lot of hard work, and content content content, preferable fresh and unique, over a long period of time.

You have a lot of work ahead. Just build build build slowly and steady.

That's my advice. I could be wrong.

check for backlinks, domain age and PR of the results. They contribute to the degree of difficulty in ranking

The site in first has some amazing SEO, and also ranks first for main terms of the same niche getting millions of searches per month. Any good tool to check those details? The domain is probably fairly new (unless they bought it and kept it for a while), because I've seen that site with 3 different domains in the last year...always with the same content, and it stays at the top of google.
