    Hey guys,

I have an app, which has no chance to be added in google play, as it's gambling related. but it's a very quality app, with 5000+ downloads and happy clients, just for posting a download link on main website for apk file.

I haven't tried external marketing and would love to know if any traffic sources would work for such app, as I don't have a Gplay link.

Any suggestions, or maybe offers? :)

    Thanks,

    G.

Doing any app store optimization will definitely not gonna work since your app isn't published on Google Play. You can try paid advertising on relevant web pages, email marketing and maybe try on some Facebook group. You can also try referral marketing and you can just give them some incentives for using your app, a discount or bonus credit might work.

If you have a website where we can play online, then I think it is a good strategy, you can direct them on your landing page. If you just have an app, it might be hard to gain the trust of your target audience.

thanks for the suggestions. Yes I do have a mobile version of site, where you can play and it's pretty quality made. The application is for people who need quick access and for me to have an additional instrument of retention.

I promote mobile version through traffic networks and direct advertising, but I'd love to use the app for promotion somehow

You can try to contact some networks, relevant websites or blogs and so on.
Or you can use cloaking or make landing page and post them.
