I just got a message from clickbank that a product that i was promoting will be removed from the list. A lot of high converting products will be removed. Niches like herpes, tinnitus, vitiligo are all gone. How hard have you been hit?
Basically it killed me, i will lose all income and have to start from scratch....
I also receive emails that i have been added to some product whitelist or removed from other products?! What is going on here?I think this is huge update and will affect many affiliates. Your thoughts?

    Code:
    Dear ClickBank affiliate:

I wanted to contact you to inform you of a change happening this Friday, 7/10. We occasionally review our guidelines for products and particular categories. Most recently, we have become concerned about scrutiny around the remedy and cures area. For this reason, we have taken the bold step to remove several products that offer to cure or correct the effects of vision, hearing loss, or tinnitus or claim to completely cure or eliminate viruses like herpes or conditions like vitiligo. Unfortunately, our records indicate that you have promoted one of more of these products recently. This email is to inform you that these products will no longer appear in the ClickBank marketplace after Friday, 7/10/2015, and we will no longer permit promotion or sales on that date.

Please look at the ClickBank marketplace for other products that would be appropriate to promote to you audience. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you understand the rationale behind our actions.

Promote weight loss instead. It's an evergreen niche. Venus Factor, 3 Week DIET, Fat Loss Factor, etc

Well, looks like I just spent thousands of dollars to create a product I can not longer use. 2015 is the year of getting bent over and fisted it seem.

About time they did that. Some legit and honest vendors along with their affiliate bases will get hit for sure, but there are many others which are shady as fuck and just want a quick sale. Put yourself in the shoes of your visitors: if you had a real-life condition/problem and were suffering badly and you find an e-book promising the world to you and curing it 100% etc you buy it then get frustrated a lot when the e-book is full of fluff and doesn't really help you at all.

Well contact the seller and ask if he or she will move to a new network or will launch his own affiliate program

The FTC is really cracking down on these types of niches in which case the affiliate companies such as Clickbank, JV Zoo, Clicksure are cracking down too. the only viable option for the vendors of these products is to set up there own affiliate company

next will be the weight loss then the IM industry.

Promising people they can lose 21 pounds in 3 weeks or telling them they can make $5,000 with just 12 minutes a day of work is getting really old.

I've been able to transition so overall I have not seen much impact, but as far as Clickbank, my sales are just about dead. I think I'm still promoting 2 products that aren't dead, but the sales I get with them are pretty close to irrelevant.

A Paleo Diet Plan program I was promoting was removed from the marketplace.. I didn't receive an e-mail about that, and it certainly isn't shady like the offers mentioned in the e-mail they sent you.

The long term effect will hopefully be good news, as it looks like they are implementing some quality control.
A lot of those products were misleading and some were quite possibly dangerous.
Unqualified people offering quack remedies. They can do without the legal trouble.

It's those types of products that sway people away from trying to earn online, they see those ads first and think it's all a scam. Not to mention the people behind those offers are like a plague.

A lot of people are going to get screwed on this one, I can already imagine a couple of users (if not an abundance) from this site shitting their pants.

To be honest it's probably for the better... but that doesn't mean it's "good" for right now.

I believe clickbank already got into legal trouble. That´s why they are deleting these products and many more in the coming weeks. I remember 3 years ago, when they try to implement a risk tiers to avoid affiliates accounts with a high refund / charge back rate and then they step back when saw big guys moving to another networks. Clickbank is not amazon. CB is getting a bad reputation because shitty items being sold on their platform. Being honest, how many of you, promoters, will buy "an acne cure in less than 30 days" "grow taller" or any other shit from the marketplace??

I personally believe it´s too late for CB to change everything now. it will probably die in 5-10 years. Like many other affiliate network that closed down in the past.

On the way it provided nice earnings to many people.

Also this will concentrate all the traffic going to the top products. Who is going to waste time and money now to promote a new launch that can be taken down tomorrow?.

As I said on my previous post, CB is not amazon. And they are the first ones to admit this. As long as you don´t get caught doing spam email, you can use any black hat technique to make sales. Something that is not allowed , for example , on amazon or adsense.

CB is a network for blackhatters.

CB had issues with CC companies on those offers... they were making CRAZY BS claims and had MASSIVE refunds and chargebacks.... thats why.

Some people might get it hard, but it's worth it for CB in the end. A lot of products on there are complete shit, and offering products that don't actually work or are 100% fluff is a great way for CB to have "scam" be the next word out of someone's mouth after clickbank.

Yeah the long term effect is that you will make less money, have less options and more competition on the same products, all you shep keep thinking "positive" this game just got real and they are about to close it all down. Silly rabbits.
