Right now I have a Twitter account of 50k and one with 20k plus a few smaller ones, and I recently started an Instagram account that is growing fastly, so I figured Pinterest was the next step. I am selling Game of Thrones themed tshirts (no I don't have permission from HBO, just doing until/if they tell me to stop) and was wondering if anyone could explain how Pinterest works and what's the best way to make money on it by selling merchandise. I made an account but feel a bit lost at the moment. Thanks.

Pin the picture, people see it, they click the link, they buy it. Simples

I see some pictures posted as specific merchandise type pins with the price and an area on the bottom that says "Buy on barnes and noble" or whatever, sort of like tweet cards. I don't see the option for this anywhere though.

I would recommend you watch some videos on youtube, that's the best way to learn how it works.

Pinterest recently decided to start being a big C-word like every other company. The thing you're talking about is a mark-up schema, just like google uses. You need to use rich snippets. What CMS are you using?

Nope, everyone talking about this is wrong. Just add a $25 (or whatever number) to your link description, and it pulls it out and makes it a pin. Depends on the theme of the board (doesn't work on recipes), but it works on most sites.
