Currently all my profits are from reviews submitted to articlebase. I want to step it up a notch and get an actual domain.

You guys know the internet better than anyone I have ever seen, so I was wondering....what exactly do you use to develop your site?

I know a lot of people use wordpress...would this be best for a review site?
What about other websites...do you just write out the core HTML? What tools do you use?

    Thanks so much guys!

Wordpress is always good for review type sites. You just have to choose the right theme. It is user friendly and you can customize the site as per you wish using different plugins. If you need a good wordpress review theme, search for "Rapid profit formula" in download section. That one is really good!

Thanks! Do wordpress sites rank well in Google? And do they work well with all the tools mentioned on the forums (Scrapebox, AMR, XeRumer, etc.)?

Google LOVES Wordpress as it is very SEO friendly. You can use all kind of tools which you came across here to promote a Wordpress site, but you have to know how to use those tools effectively to avoid any penalty from SE.

Quick question: Do you recommend buying a domain first and then implementing wordpress....or starting a free blog on wordpress and then upgrading it to a real domain.

Also what hosting do you reccomend?

Thanks so much for your input! Really helps me out.

P.S.-Searched and couldnt find a theme called "Rapid profit formula"

What was your clickthrough rate with Articlebase articles?

They don't offer a ******** link and place adsense on prominent place to grab all those clicks. You create content for them and they take money with not giving even a proper link.

Get your own domain. Install wordpress along with sitemap and SEO plugin. Atleast you can keep all your traffic.

Yes, this is exactly why I want to shoot for something better.

However, I was getting decent 20% or high click thru rates! The problem is most of my sales ended up coming from reprints on different directories. Still, I'm managing to bring in a decent 400+ per month (With tons of low seo review sites, for tons of different products).

    Thanks for the advice!

In my opinion, you should start with a domain because that's where you'll end up anyway in the future. Avoid unnecessary transitions. While you could get a free blog, if you do any SEO and promotion for it, you lose all of that if you switch to a domain. You can't 301 redirect and keep your backlinks, traffic, etc. because it will be hosted on Wordpress' servers. Granted, there may be a plugin to circumvent this, but to me, it seems like it's an extra, and potentially harmful, step.

Just Host has been very good to me. They are affordable and have a great (and knowledgeable) support team. A lot of people here are on HostGator, I believe, so you may want to compare the two.

Its good to have your own domain. Look for exact match domains. This helps to some extent in ranking. Stay away from EMD while choosing product keywords to avoid Trademark infringement

I'm using Hostgator. No problem so far.

Shared by bezopravin ;) BTW its not a theme.

If you are already making good profits from your articlebase articles, I suggest you simply build backlinks to the articles.

From my experience, I have better result with Clickbank products linking straight from articles. If i use those articles to direct it to my own domain (landing page), the conversion rates go down generally. Also using the way you are doing it right now gives much faster profits.

    Wordpress :D easy and simple.
Works great as it has many plugins that can be added on for your SEO.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I have been reading and found two myths I wanted to clear up with you guys:

#1: SEO drops for wordpress and other blog sites if you dont keep posting. This would be bad for me, as having a review site I do not plan on making more than one post. Is this myth true?

#2: Google lowers your rankings if you download and use and online template (implying a true internet marketer would build his own template). Is this true?

    Thanks for the help!
