How Ebay sellers activating lifetime Spotify for $3,99?

I believe it will update your account as a family member. But it seems that Spotify already know this and it is trying to block this move asking for all the 'members' of the family to live at the same address: Spotify request
Even if in the ad it is saying that it is guaranteed for life, nobody can actually guarantee that this will work for ever. Usually these accounts on Ebay works for a while until Ebay feagures it out what really happen or the account gets reported.

Actually there are leaked lists available on the web with user name / password from different websites. The bot it is actually verifying the list against the specific server (Spotify in our case). This is why is a good idea to use unique passwords for every account you make; if you can use unique user name, it is even better.

Apparently it's not working much ot Spotify decided not to implement it, guessing this latter seeing the linked article is from 2018. Shared accounts still work on very different addresses in far away countries.
Accounts can get reported (by the real owner of the account, if it's a hacked account) or can get noticed by Spotify itself, but eBay has no say in this, they can only ban the seller, which has zero effect on already sold accounts.
