Sorry to ask but I see massive posts all over the internet, about earing points and rapidshare premium accounts. I know if you have signups you make money from the new signups for accounts, but do they pay like .01 a download or something? I can't seem to find the answer online listed.

I don't really use them much, but see a lot of people here like WizGizmo posting tons of rapidshare links, in neat format that looks as if its a repost from someone elses???

He must be making points like theres no tomorrow right?

I am just trying to look into other venues of making a few extra bucks.

I saw few scripts online that post from megaupload to rapidshare and back, so I guess that would be to game the system, earn points on both sides?

any help would be appreciated.

Well if you can find people or get people to download your file which is at least 1MB a few thousand times then you will earn nice money but if you can't then RapidShare is useless. The people that usually make thousands of posts are the ones who upload warez/illegal files. Therefore RapidShare is not really a better venue to make a few extra bux but you could try, it could work if you do it the right way. :)

no wonder so many people always prefer to use rapidshare....now i know..lol..thanks for telling us shadedream7 :)

I still prefer Mediafire :)

Well...technically you could make money gathering points, upgrade your account using the points and then selling them off.....

i haven't done any of that stuf....but that would def be a lot of work...

i think people just use it coz its neat and has been around a lot and is extremely popular....and i suppose wizgizmo shares just coz he likes doing that...

u could combine this with some own writen affiliate ebooks, so that u upload them to rapidshare and then post it on different rapidshare forums, so could make double money out of this

Here's how it works.

  1. As a rapidshare premium account or collector account holder, you are able to upload files to your account for others to download.
  2. For every file downloaded from your account, you will gain 1 RapidPoint, subject to the following conditions
    • The file must be at least 5MB.
    • The file must completely downloaded (as opposed to just intiating the file transfer, and then canceling it before it finishes)
    • The file must be downloaded using non-premium rapidshare accounts (using premium account can also generate points, but up to a max of 255 points a day)
    • Every unique IP can only generate a max of 3 points per hour.
  3. With every 10,000 points generated, you are then able to either
    • Create a new 1-month premium rapidshare account (which you can then sell for $) or
    • Extend your own premium account for 1 more month
Hope this helps in clearing any doubts. :)

Yes that's it. You can only get money selling the accounts or exchange your points for some gits they have there and then sell those gifts :D

@frostbyte
My bad, it used to be 1MB when I last checked it. :D
The main reason for using rapidshare is because its nice, neat and very fast. :)

No problem. It was changed from 1MB to 3MB and the latest is 5MB. Who knows if it's going to be increased again.

thank you frostbyte thats the answer I was looking for.

So all I need is a premium account slap a bunch of links up and I will have the account for free forever.
