So, lets say I'm listing on eBay for 60 days and do a handful of transactions during that period. Each item being listed around $20-$35. Selling with 100% positive feedback during a 60 day period. During of which my 21 day hold would be removed from transactions and I've established a level of trust towards eBay/PayPal.

Then I decide to list a high valued item on eBay... around 500-1k.

What precautions would PayPal take when I receive that amount of money? Would there be any limits or restrictions to immediately moving those funds?
Anyone with any experience with this type of situation? :)

Depends on the level of your PayPal account.

At what level would the paypal account be trusted enough to receive a "larger then normal" payment and have NO problems sending payment right away out of that account?

You can get away with a lot once you have a SS# or EIN attached to it. But I'm almost 100% sure that a lot of these paypal flags come from eBay when you sell a bunch of $10 items then start listing new cell phones and laptops.

The amount seems fine for an account a few months old with selling history of $20+ items. But the frequency needs to be clarified. If you sell 4 $20 items and then get a payment for $1000, it could be trouble. If you sell a $20 item every other day for 2 months, then you shouldn't have issues.

The main problem I see is:

Immediately trying to move a large amount on a relatively new account (or really on any account) isn't a good idea. If your account does indeed survive getting a $500-$1000 payment, then you should add tracking right away and let the money sit for a few days and only withdraw a portion of it.

A lot of people hate 21 day holds, but I think it teaches restraint. That's a really helpful practice to avoid limitation.

Account would be fully verified. However, NO ssn# !

But everything else would be in place.

I Think it dependents on how old your paypal account is, if its new and doing heavy transaction volume might raise some red flags

It all depends on the age and sales that are on your PayPal account.

If you are selling low prices items and then list an expensive item PayPal would very likely freeze the money or limit your account.
