How does outsourcing articles work?

I've got a question. Let's say I pay someone to write an article for me, however many words, for whatever amount I choose. Obviously this saves me time as I don't need to do the research or the actual writing process. I'm assuming, as I've never outsourced, that this person would e-mail me said article? I would then copy and paste it into my website? Well how would you automate that? I guess what I'm asking, is much of the process can you automate?

Find a good writer... Post on various forums which attract content writers and post that you are looking for writers in the appropriate board. Give each writer who seems promising a test article to write. For best comparison, give them all the same topic to write on and narrow the list down based on the quality.

Limit your responsibilities... If you're using a blogging or content management system such as Wordpress, you can create accounts for your writers, giving them limited access so they can only post new articles. This way they can log in and add the text/images themselves.

Get the content written... Email your writer(s) with the subjects they need to write on including which keywords the article should target. It's probably best to have them save the content as drafts so you can review them before making them live but if you trust your writers enough, you can be hands off here.
