How does Associated Content verify accounts?

I'm based outside the US but I want to write for AC and get paid by Paypal. I was planning on using the multiple AC accounts under $500 strategy and getting paid to multiple Paypal emails under the same main Paypal account. I have a verified Paypal account but it is in a different name than the names I'd be signing up to AC with, plus the address for the account is in my non-US country.

I've been doing a bit of reading on the forum and it looks like in the past, AC used to verify accounts via a phone call, and people were getting around this by using VOIP services that provided US numbers. So how does AC actually verify accounts now?

I don't have answers to all your questions, but I can say that in the past two months I created 2 accounts with two different PayPal emails and received no phone calls. It went off smooth.

AC no longer does phone verification because they know people found a way around it (using skype, etc.).

Again AC DOES NOT do phone verification!

They verify each account using paypal accounts. So only ONE paypal account to ONE AC account.

What do mean by verifying the paypal account? Does that mean that I can't make 8 email paypal emails on the same main paypal account and use them for different identities at AC?

Exactly, unless someone here found a way around it.

ONE paypal account to ONE AC account (please see red box on picture below). If you decide to hook one paypal account with multiple AC accounts please do NOT come crying here if all your accounts get banned. You've been warned.

*cry* thanks for the info Millygirl. I guess that means it's better to try to do one account after another up to the $500 limit and hope for the best.

good luck to you. got banned not too long ago and i was completely white hat. i dont understand why they tossed me aside. oh well, guess it was fun while it lasted. off to something new
