Sorry if this has been answered but i seriously cant find it. Ive looked all over this forum. Ive done some of paul and angela's packets and now i want to find my own do follow websites myself. Thanks
yes probably they use some automated harvester or something like this. Or also just seacrh google for forums using good footproints. For example if i wanted to place link in SMF forums I would google like this "powered+by+smf" popular keyword. Popular keyword because in that case returned first results will have higher PR.
Go for their foot prints, you will find a loads of profiles. or search in Google "About" "View" "Track"
Footprints are definately the key, and a good knowledge of search strings and syntax. Observation as well. Backlink Watch . com is an excellent resource. So, for example, view the comments posted to your blog, then find the spammers posting to it, check them out on backlink watch, and then you'll have a massive list of places where you can post your links. Just a few examples of search strings that could possibly find you backlinks are: -powered by vbulletin login -powered by vbulletin -powered by kickapps - login -powered by kickapps - "keyword phrase"+inurl:blog site:.edu - "keyword phrase"+inurl:blog site:.gov - site:.edu inurl:blog "keyword phrase" - site:.gov+wp-admin - site:.gov+blog - site:.gov+comment.php - site:.gov+"submit site" - site:.gov+"submit your site" - site:.gov+"add url" - site:.edu inurl:blog "keyword" "comment" - site:gov - "you must be logged in" -"comment closed" - site:edu - "you must be logged in" -"comment closed" - {your keyword} + ?intitle:directory? - {your keyword} + ?intitle:directory? + "submit site" - {your keyword} + ?intitle:directory? + "submit site" + "free" - {your keyword} + ?inurl:directory? - {your keyword} + ?inurl:directory? + "submit site" - {your keyword} + ?inurl:directory? + "submit site" + "free" Those are just the beginning, and some will and won't provide results. Be observent, check your own logs, or throw up a few blogs and start watching your referral sources, comment spam site targets, log files, etc etc etc. Look at the sites provided in the packets, and look at sites that people who attempt to get links from you get links from (check them out at BackLinkWatch .com ) and you should be good to go. That should keep you busy for as long as you want to be... Mike
