So I keep seeing something mentioned about some CPA offers that want you to get people to enter their zip codes. Then you get paid for it.

I understand what CPA's are, but what am I missing? Why would anyone pay just for a zip code of someone without knowing who they are and what they are looking for?

I think what he means is how can the people who are paying you for the zip code make money on said zip code.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it usually your email AND your zip code? If so, they get money when someone with an email fills out an offer. Then I guess they sell the email to spammers. I'm not completely sure though.

If you just participate in an offer with bullshit info it'll quickly become transparent how they cash in, but I'll spell it out.

First is the landing page that tells people they can win an xbox 360 or a $500 subway coupon. If they input their email address you get your piddly commission of $0.75-$1.50. At this point your work is done and their work begins. As an affiliate you promote their zip offer, but these reward companies are like super affiliates for hallmark, blockbuster, and a bunch of other companies. In order to actually get the big prize they were promised on the landing page a person is forced to sign up for bunch of free trials they don't want that earn the zip offer company good commissions, much better than the little dollar they paid you. Each successive trial the person signs up for gets more potentially expensive and riskier for them until the final step before they win the Subway coupon. At the final step they have to sign up for a trial that costs as much or more than the prize, and they can only get the prize after their trial expires if they're still signed up.

The zip company cant lose this way. They've track the converstion rates for each affiliate sending them leads. The only way they can lose is if you send them fake or shitty leads which all press the back button after the first page. But If too many of your leads do this they classify them as fraudulent and "shave" or "scrub" them or just cut you from the program. They also don't pay you if someone's info is already in their database which is why you always want to be promoting the newest zip offers.

And like someone said in another post they sell the persons info too. If the dope trying to win the prize doesn't uncheck the discreet little box giving them permission to sell it they're going to get a box full of spam email and spam snail mail too.

    OK I must be dim.

Landing page, enter an email, get piddly commission. Got that. (They now have your email to play with.)

I sign up as an affiliate and start to promote a zip offer. I'm pretty sure I've seen these. You have to enter your name, email, address, zip code and probably credit card for each stupid offer. But they want to know everything about you. This makes sense.

So why is it called a zip (code) offer? They want more than just your zip code. I can see if they got a zip code along with only an email address that it COULD help market a local product to you in your area. I guess.

And what the hell does "spam spam spam spam spam and egg. Sell it the spammers" mean?

It's called a zip submit offer because to us affiliates, our work is done after they enter their zip code/email. But after that, the bigger affiliate's job has just begun. They now want to go as far as getting all your information (including CC number) in hopes that the person signs up for the latest Blockbuster Online free trial or whatever the offer is.

Individual affiliate < Bigger affiliates < The company that offers the offer (aka Blockbuster, or something similar)

I hope I got that right because that is my understanding of it.

The term also implies how easy it is to score the commission. They could also call it a 1 field submit form because some of my networks call offers where the person has to fill out all their info 8-12 field submit forms. Zip submit sounds cooler.

It starts with a zip submit, then ratchet ups with more information. Resell that information multiple time, and they can make a decent profit.

zip submits convert at a higher rate but are lower cost per action
sales are lower conversion rate but higher payout

find a niche that you like and understand and use ONLY 1 technique from here to start.

doesnt matter zip submit or actual sales. zip submits may give you some momentum as they will let you realize, im does work. actual sales are nice cuz they are decent cash per each.

dont get caught up in trying to everything at once. become an expert in one niche with one traffic technique and you will make money.

dont be a jack of all trades and an expert at none.

ahahaha. Bro if you try and submit a whole database you'll never get paid. I don't fraud any of my zip submits but if i did I would distribute the fraud leads between as many networks as possible because once you send certain volume they're definitely going to check and to see if you're traffic converts. And like others have said if it doesn't, you're not getting a check. Neverblue has zip submits, Copeac has zip submits, I'm sure there's dozens out there just google for a long list of cpa companies and sign up for 2-3 dozen. thats the only way I think you could run as many leads as you've got and possibly get paid.
