    Thanks to BHW, I've got a good size list of e-mails, but now the problem is actually sending the messages. What do you guys use to send e-mails to hundreds of thousand or millions of recipients?

    AMS = Atomic email sender
    Also check mail mascot. The owner is a member of BHW and the software has very good reviews.
    These are two among the many desktop senders. You can also use scripts like interspire email marketing that are installed on your webserver.

    For smtp: you need accounts that you are going to use to send the emails. You can use emails like gmail,hotmail etc or you can get smtp from hosting services.

    Why dont you register 1-2 emails like hotmail,aol and send 200-300 emails per day to see how it is. Then search for more stable solutions.

    Thanks for the help. Any idea on how to split up my e-mails into smaller lists (like 500 e-mails)?

    Try this.Its called list manager or whatever. You can filter bad addresses,duplicate,filter domains or addresses you do not want to be in your list(spam traps syntax etc) and you can also split the emails you have in as many parts as you want.

    Code:

    Code:

    How many of these emails will actually end up in the inbox vs the junkbox? If these emails are verified then it may make a difference but if they are just scraped emails, I don't think the return will be high.

    I dont disagree with you. Spambox is something none wants to know about. Its related to many things like the reputation of the host, the ip of your vps/vpn/proxy or whatever you are using and many many other stuff.

    I have mailed to lists with no results. Having a list is nothing. Everyone can have some! Is your list good?If these emails have 100 spamtraps,90% of the emails are already spammed for like a year and the emails are abandoned then you are wasting money and bandwidth.

    Basically, you need many things. The two most important things is the engine you use to send and the place your emails are going to end.

    Then, fixing the email body to avoid spamchecks etc can be easily fixed.
