I was just wondering how you all handles this question. Which job label do you use?
Dr Duffers5000. MBA PHD Bcomm, Serp Manipulator
Simply put, you can label your "profession" as being an SEO Expert/Consultant or an Internet Marketer.
"I move sites, motherfucker"
Yeah, that's what I use. Either that or "Online Marketer".
Ohh, it's this thread AGAIN.
Explain it as complicated as you can, and they wont ask you anything further. Just saying, as they wont understand anyway.
I just tell people to shut the fuck up.
I tell them its case sensitive.
For the umpteenth time! Like WTF?
I was having a beer with my neighbor the other day and he asks me "What is it that you do for a living? I never see you leave your house". I say to him "I am a high lever marijuana dealer". Then I just stair at him. He looks at me for a few seconds, and goes "Yeah, that makes sense. I always see people in and out of your house". I ended up drinking with him for 2 hours before I told him the truth.
Seriously though, it depends on who asks me. Sometimes when I am traveling I like to tell people I sold my company to Yahoo and retired. For people I will have to talk to or see again, I just tell them I own a bunch of websites online.
I usually tell people that I do online marketing. "You know how billboards attract people to a business. That's what I do, but online." If they're still interested I explain reputation management.
I just tell them I'm Product developer, and online marketer
a school teacher out on disability who owns a car wash from my card counting profits.
I tell them I'm a student
Breaking Bad reference for those who don't get it ...

"I could tell you, but I would have to kill you"
