How do you protect your blog network?

Hi

Please share on what you do to actually protect your blog network.

I have learn that you will have to use htaccess and robot to hide your blog network but is this all there is to it? Its troublesome to modify so i use Spyder only. Do you think thats sufficient?

I know the usual of:

1. put the sites on different servers. you may squeeze 5 sites into one server if they target diff keywords each
2. different plugins
3. unique content

Ummmm. Nobody is going to answer this. Google is surely on these boards reading all the time.
