What do you guys use to power your PBNs up?

    Social signals are a must.

    Are web 2.0s overkill?

    Anything else that you use?

You are getting wrong PBN's if you need to "power them up"

Wouldn't be much point in finding expired domains if you would need to build links to them.

I used my PBN links for high PR social networking profiling on PR 8-9 and good results came.

LeanLow and OnlineOnly. You do not even build social signals to them?

No, why would I ? When someone shows me a case study that social signals drastically improve the juice/power of a PBN domain then I will consider it.

Just throw in a link from niche relevant forums/blogs when i can if its a site with weaker metrics/loses links. But yeah like others said, its a shitty site for a PBN if you need to power it up.

Social signals have no effect on rankings, literally none so why would you waste your energy on them.

I don't need to power them up. A good PBN domain should have a decent backlink profile, strong enough to make a difference.

Use your PBN links to very high quality link building methods so that will be aid to rank better.

We don't power up our PBN domains. If more power is needed, we add more domains. I wouldn't waste time or money on linking your PBN domains and put more time in research and aquiring new expireds. That's the great thing about these domains, you don't need to worry about spammy mass linking, web 2.0 or any of this stuff.

I wonder how many people commenting have actually used their own personal PBN to rank a site.....

    Anyway I use PBN T1, Web 2 T2 and SER T3.

Tour PBN must be looking like shit then....

@OP i build new links from web2.0, press releases, guest posts, cheap PBN links, youtube links with 2 tier backlinks ( i know YT links are nofollow i don't care), Wikipedia links, manual blog comments etc etc.... it is stupid imho to not refresh the backlinks to your PBN

My PBN's are 100% on the up and up, the content is readable, they have social media accounts, email collection and monetization, if you landed on one of my PBN sites you would have no idea it was one, you would probably sign up to one of my lists.

PBN's that don't get their backlinks updated will lose power, and sure you can say: well then i buy a new domain for a $XXX and start over, to me that is just a dumb business move.

Because in the same effort that you search and buy $XXX domain, you can have a VA add links to your PBN's and with that growing your domains to a higher TF, i have lots of domains that i have grown from TF10 to TF50 in a couple of months time, just by updating content and backlinks, you think that these links will help me rank anything i want?

Just think about it, what is better, growing a powerful natural looking PBN for the same money that you would need to keep replacing your weak domains, for me that is a (and i despise this phrase) no brainer

That a fact? It's a reasonable thought but there's no proof, you're stating conjecture as fact.

Sites that I ranked a year ago remain exactly where they were back then, using the same untouched PBNs. With all that work you've done, you're likely to be emotionally invested in that theory but I'm here to say that exact opposite, as much as I enjoy your logic.

    Interesting thought @fc-dh

Just wanted to ask, how much is the cost per month on those PBN of yours just to "maintain" them?

No that is a fact, if you do not update your sites if they are PBN or not they WILL loze power, sorry i don't get why you would even wanna debate that as this is SEO 101 0_o, don't belief me? don't update your sites for 6 months and see what happens...

I have a VA that does that add links and content to all my PBN's and i pay about $500 a month for 40 hours a week true Odesk

But that is my point, I haven't touched those PBNs for a year or the sites that they rank and they're all doing just fine. Sometimes even the basic assumptions in this game are half truths perpetuated until they become accepted as fact.
