I'm talking about something like this:
you have to add rich snippet code to your website. Have a look in webmasters it shows you there.
we can't. it all is done by google. we can only give demotion to links we don't want to keep under the homepage title..
Correct - This is later accomplished by Google. But, it inherits your sitemap - make sure you've submitted it.
In regards to rich snippets; these are only if you have repetitive structured data that can take advantage of them (I.e. ratings, songs, scores, etc.)
Such horrible advice here. They are called sitelinks and they are determined by the algorithm.
Yes they are called 'sitelinks' but they are reviewed based on the structure of these links and how the algorithm interprets them... This is why I recommended a sitemap.
These are called SiteLinks in Google which you can get if you have well established blog/site.
Google sitelinks are navigation links that google determines to be of use to the searcher. Basically, these show up when your brand is searched for (I assume in the screenshot in the first post, the term "Yahoo" was searched for". You won't get these for e-commerce searches (like "buy apples").
You can demote up to 100 sitelinks in Webmaster Tools.
its frequently visited page in ur domain.. u dont have any control except demote.. (upto my knowledge)
Has nothing to do with the sitemap and everything to do with how users interact with the site and the way the site is structured. I have no sitemap on any of my sites and they have them.
And even if you demote a sitelink, it doesn't mean the algorithm will remove it.
Don't think so... one of my top 3 pages aren't listed under my sitelinks.
Then what you think is your top page is not what Google's algorithm considers important enough to be a sitelink. A lot of times what site owners want and the data passed to the algorithm are 2 separate things.
its not so easy than we think.
also one of my link was not listed. i had to do so hard task for fit that
This task is not so easy but following some steps you can make the job easier such as adding rich snippet code to your website, adding high PR backlinks, and using quality keywords with your content etc.
if your website isn't frequented by thousands of visitors daily , no sitempas , no aged domain .Forget it.
