how do you know nulled scripts

how do you know if someone is using a nulled script.
lets say someone uses a nulled script of the dolphin social network.

how do you know if he is using a nulled script of the dolphin.
and when using a nulled script is that dangerous to use. what can happen

Well, if the script wasn't nulled right, it can "call home" (which means that it will contact the script owner telling them where the script is at) and you'll get a nice old lawsuit or the equivalent.

Another thing that can happen is that the script owner will come along to your site and realize that you don't own a license for it, and then they'll sue you.

You can tell they're using it sometimes if the title says "nulled by <group name here>".

Dolphin is free, your stuck with ads until you upgrade but by then you will know if it is worth it. Otherwise just got for it with a nulled script, if you site isn't large enough to pay 30 bucks or whatever it was to remove the ads I doubt he will find you using his script.

isn't there a trick to remove the ads on the free version.
I mean like changing a php file, and it won't show it again, or it will change the pictures and links on the ads.
