I use lastpass, works great for me and you can generate complex passwords and not worry about remembering them.

i store them in my head, use 5-10 variations of the same password (upper case, lower case, numbers, special characters), so you can guess it every time before you're locked out of any site

no place is safer than that :), combine it with keyscrambler, so keyloggers can go take a hike

never use the same passwords for your important accs like your email address, paypal, bank account etc.

if it's not really sensitive, i just let firefox save it

+1 for lastpass. Also keep an excel doc - password protected itself

that was working until now.. I've seen way too many accounts hacked within last 6 months - there was 1 common thing to all of them - simple psw.

today we all should start using ridiculous passwords.. I use norton psw generator: 5 combinations to choose from, 12 characters and everything else as well:

If you care about your privacy and that of your clients, don't put it online. That's all I'll say.

And if you're using Windows 10 or some other cloud OS, you're putting it online.

how come? what made it not working all of a sudden? who said that i use easy passwords, nowadays the most passwords get hacked by social engineering and keylogging, not brute force

sure thing, don't use very simple passwords, which can be easily guessed, one would think that's common knowledge, a 8-10 character long password which contain upper case, lower case letters, numbers and special characters, should do the trick, i also mentioned that don't use the same password everywhere, create 5-10 variations and you're good to go, there's no need to use 150 character long, randomly generated passwords, but i guess if you can't come up with a secure password by your own, those tools will help, but in that case, you'll also need another tool which memorizes these instead of you

The safest way to keep your passwords: to memorize 'em.
If you do not trust your brain, invent your own system of passwords (easy for you, crazy for others).

yes, you are 1000% correct.. mostly social engineering is the key that opens most of the doors..

but then we talk about adm passwords, db passwords >> and the above mentioned is my personal practice to anything business related...

This will sound a bit old, but I use my mind. I was studying mechanisms of remembering a lot of things easily and strongly.

You can look up techniques of fast and easy memorizing. I personally had a great course on this several years ago, since then, I don't forget anything, when I use specific methods to remember.

For starters, learn "mind palace" thechnique, it's an easy one and you'll get the taste of it ;)

I feel like all the software that store passwords aren't really reliable long term, your hdd can be corrupted, their servers can get hacked, you can uninstall it accidentally, software bugs ETC. I just don't trust that stuff.
