How do you guys keep the weight off? Do you go to the gym?

Just eat less.I eat only one time every day and avoid fatty substances.

If you are afraid going to the gym, just bring the exercise equipment to your home. You can start your home gym in your bedroom/living room too.

Not very long, I'm very impatient, I think that's what's hindering my progress.
Yes, that's a problem too, my little advice is that for an obese person, you may want to check with a doctor before embarking on your weight loss journey, random advices on the net and traditional diets may work for someone with a little extra fat, but there are health risks involved for an obese person, just check with a dietitian, it worth the money.

Good luck my friend.

What worked for you?
Walk 10 kms every day and eat healthy (keto works for example, but it is not necessary). That has worked quite a lot for me. A bit of other exercises also help. But IMO hitting the gym is not necessary to stay fit/lose weight.

I've always struggled with my weight, it's at a point now where according to the BMI scale, I'm obese.

I'm thinking about joining a gym, but I'm afraid people will make fun of me.

Do you guys have any tips or tricks for managing weight? How do I get over the fear of joining the gym?

I tried Keto, OMAD, the Snake Diet, the Lion Diet, intermittent fasting... Everything under the sun, but with little success.

What worked for you?
Dont eat at night. Its simple as that.

Men gain weight because feminism causes them an hormonal imbalance. I was in a relationship for 7 years and I got fat because she was shaming my gym-bro mannerisms. At first the shaming looked like a joke but as time passed it got into my subconscious and interfered with my training. Now I am back to the gym but I have no idea how to find a gym compatible gf. Weights go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Just start walking everyday for 1 hour and the gym starts from the kitchen, so cook your own food and eat 3-5 times a day, small meals btw. This way you will lose way more weight than any gym or diet, eat everything, just way less and spread it in 3-5 meals. A simple 1 hour walk is enough to start losing weight.

Have to write down all meals. It will make u crazy but it's only thing that works in the end.

Walking/jogging is great for those who don't want to join gym.Its a nice way to lose fat in a natural way while strengthening your body and increasing muscle mass.

That's very good advice, I need to get my vitals checked before I do anything drastic!

Bro, tbh, I can't even walk 1km, I need to find something fit for me.

Night time is prime time. I really like making myself a big sandwich past midnight and just devouring it like an animal.

This was really funny, thanks for making me laugh!

You mean calorie counting? I tried that but usually quit after a few days cos it's so time consuming

That’s bad. Start with less and then gradually increase? I started with 2-3kms and now I can do 20-25kms without any side effects other than sweating like a pig lol. It takes a couple of months or 3 months to reach that level.

If you can’t walk, I doubt you will like gym much. It’s gonna be much tougher.

I am almost in my late 30s, and I did not become overweight my whole life and I am actually underweight so maybe I can share. All my cousins, friends and even all my sisters got overweight around 30s while I remain underweight so I do not believe this has something to do with genes, but probably about lifestyle.

Here are some things weird about me compared to others:

- When I wake up, I just drink water and rarely eat breakfast. Well let's say because I usually sleep late so I rarely wake up very early.
- I usually eat at midnight around 12am to 3am
- I usually sleep around 3am to 5am
- I do not exercise regularly, I do not go to gym. But I walk like 2km up to 5km randomly, sometimes more. But this rarely happens now.
- I rarely drink cold water.
- I always drink water before eating, while most of them avoid doing this.
- I do not take medicine or pain killers, even when I have fever, cough, cold, headache and diarrhea. I always end up fine.
- I do not drink soft drinks 99% of the time, but I drink coffee, juice, alcoholic drinks, tea, chocolate drink.
- I do not drink energy drinks.
- I rarely eat snack (chips / crackers / biscuits)
- I eat both meat and vegetables and I love spicy food.
- I have no standard serving of food. I only eat enough and stop when I am satisfied.
- I rarely use pillows.

- And the most important thing: I do not know how to cook.

Reading this I went from “ok this guy knows what he is talking about”, to “he must be trolling”, to “I am not sure what to make of it” so fast lol!

Hopefully your blood sugar levels are fine? I mean fasting and pp or whatever they call it. Your diet and lifestyle is unique for sure lol.

absence of stimulants>calmness>less food cravings

Stimulants are good only for athletes, people that do desk jobs get fucked when they use them.

Gym for me is a must. I'll give you some advice listen close.

If you want to burn a lot of fat, joining a sport helps alot because for 1 it keeps you coming back to the gym. That's the road to being more consistent and that's the road to a great physique and health.

My favorite sport is badminton but squash can help you achieve the same results. They're addictive and you make friends.

I don't play so much any longer as Im focusing on growing muscles now, but l can assure you, playing badminton 3 to 4 times a week will help you burn fat and have fun at the same time.

I will advise you also take time to lift particularly when youve burnt off some of the overweight. For starters, tread mill and an interesting sport like badminton or squash can help you take off.

My badminton friends threw a patty last year and it was lit. Look for a gym with those facilities and you can have double the fun. Oh table tennis is also a good one.

I am not sure if my blood sugar level is fine, but I did not experience any health issue yet. I think the only defective part is my brain haha.
