How do you guys document your Backlinks?

i need a better way of documenting Backlinks that I’ve built - I currently use a combination of spreadsheets and notepad files to keep track of Backlinks - source, anchor text, tier 2 links etc.

But it gets messy when adding t2 and t3 links, login details for web 2.0s etc.

Just wondering how everyone else keeps track of this stuff.

Hey didn't realize I had this problem too until seeing this post. Also, interested! Currently I just do like the OP and use spreadsheets.
 
I documented every links in app called Notion - really game changing, give it a try.
 
it easy to track in microsoft access - mini customize software.
 
i use excel,
one sheet that maps all of my tier1 to money site, includes: tier one URL, id, pwd, date added, last date updated, anchor words, page on my money site
one sheet that maps tier 2 links to my tier 1. same info as above. in this sheet, my tier 1 are in the columns, and tier 2's are in row.

use other sheets, to track other applicable info such as url shortners, index history, etc.

with the amount of detailed info, not sure if there are any other tools besides excel that would meet my need. in particular column filter concept.
 
Use a self-hosted database . Can even do analytics with it
 
If you're using Excel to keep track of your backlinks, you could try Google Sheets.

Basically the same thing, but with a much better UI, ability to syncs across all your devices and great sharing features to collaborate with your team.

It could potentially save you tons of hours in the long run.

I use Google Sheets all the time. The most convenient interface from all that I used ..
