Just like the title says, how do you get your Youtube video showing up on other people's videos as suggested?

Like.. I just can't figure it out. Like I have one channel with like 100 videos (and +1000 real subs) and I get a decent amount of traffic, but basically nothing is from suggested.

Then I have a new channel (whitehat so far), and I'm uploading videos to it, and I'm trying to learn from other people's videos.

Sooo... I found a niche + keyword phrase. Seen a guy with barely any subs, getting a whole bunch of real-looking views. But he's got a terrible thumbnail, barely anything in his description, and he also left his keyword (tags) empty.

He had only uploaded his video a couple day's before. So I go ahead and do an even better video, better thumbnail, bigger and better description (atleast I would think so), and a decent amount of relevant and interesting keywords in regards to the video.

I made kind of a similar title to his, (although I figure mine is a bit better), and now I'm ranking right up beside him for all the relevant keywords.

I am getting some traffic, but it's only like 10 views per day. His video is getting like 1000 a day.. And I'm guessing it's because of the "suggested views". I don't see any other place on the web where it could be coming from.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

I've been wondering this too... I think it is a mix of popular videos based on what your previous history is.
