As title says, How on earth do you get these ratings?

If you search 'Glasgow Daily Deals' into Google UK you will see the bottom listing has 937 of them, its rapidly helping with his SEO (he is my competitior) and im wondering how on earth do you get them?.

Any help, advice or finger pointing would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

5 reviews are needed to show the stars

EDIT: brainfarted, thought this was for google places, not simply search.

Thanks Guys, but where do you get the ratings?.

The website that you see with them is obv a black hat site as he has 937 ratings and 12,000 something backlinks.

Is there somewhere that provides the ratings or how does it work?.

If you are referring to organic listings, the star ratings come from microformatting and Goog's display of that content is referred to as rich snippets. Google it and you'll find a good amount of info about rich snipets and also what formats/tags you can use.

They're called microformats. You won't automatically get them just because you put the proper source code on your page. I'm guessing there is a certain trust factor that Google needs to receive before they allow your suggested microformats to appear in the SERPs.

I've got a number of review blogs that use the appropriate format, and check out correctly when using Google's microformats testing tool ... but they never show those results in Google.

In my opinion, its a waste of time trying to get them unless you're able to find someone outlining the exact steps you must take to get that extra step of trust with Google to display them in the SERPs.

Here is the first thread in case you forgot:

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...sh-account-just-need-quick-report-return.html

Then I provide you with the reports and you ignore me. In my opinion you are a sleasy piece of trash and are just going to fuck around with other people that try to help you. You are the type of shit that gives this forum a bad name.

Here is the shitlist I started about you:

So please beware anyone who tries to help this guy.

Well, this just got interesting because I was sent a PM to trade how to do this for an FB voucher.

Wish I did help, because since I thought it was ratings for G places and not search, the help I gave wouldn't have worked anyway and I could have given you my fb voucher to pay you for being scammed.

Also, you need to apply for these to be shown in search. You can apply here: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/request.py?&contact_type=rich_snippets_feedback

About a month after I submitted this form, they started to show for my site. They come and go as google is not very consistent on wanting to show them, but they usually show more often than not.

To tell you the truth, I was surprised that google allowed them to show for me. My site is and e-commerce site and this might of been why.

I coincedantally got them by installing GD rating review plugin. Same like the above poster I don't get them always to show. It varies.
