Well, I am considering to drop off the job I had now..
I thought I need to focus on my IM as it is starting to grow up.. Though, the profit is still only $10 every month. (not enough for living)

The problem is that my job limits my business to grow more. Due to my job's location, I lose a few potential customers.

But if I lose my job, I will lose the income that support my daily living.

Have you ever in the same position? How do you overcome this?

Need a lot of inspirations from you guys, thanks!

When I first set up my first bricks and mortar business, I took a job working on the door of a nightclub 2 or 3 nights a week to ensure I had money coming in.
I was working from home to keep overheads to a minimum, so was doing 07.30 to 18.00 then having a bite to eat before going to the nightclub 20.00 until 02.00 next morning.

I was young then though.

I dropped my job before I started to earn good money from IM. If you have a job supporting you, wait until your IM money can support you and you have a safety net.

How to do it? Sleep less, work more whilst maintaining productivity

Selling used mobile phones and acquired small loan amount
Don't quit your job

Started my first business while still studying in law school so I got student financial aid, then on top of that worked part time as a DJ at a local club. Don't go quitting your job just yet mate.

You have 3 choices:
1. Give up your job, work 12-18 hours per day everyday online and hope to make enough in your first month to cover expenses.
2. Keep your job for now, work 2-8 hours everyday online to build up your online business
3. Go Part-time work for 4-8 hours, work online 4-8 and weekends.

It really depends on your situation, if you are single or live with your parents then you can take more risks, if you have a family and a mortgage to pay then you need security and stability until your online business takes off.
Also if you are hungry for success and can push yourself to do the work required then you might make it, if you give up your job and treat it as a holiday then you will fail.

This is the inspirational story that I am looking for.. Thanks for sharing!

Anw, how old are you at that time?

I would like to quit until my IM stream as good as my job.. But, I don't think I can't.. I will lose the opportunity to scale up now.

My guts tell me it's the time to quit, although i am not sure what's ahead waiting for me

Yes absolutely.. I think I could take more risk and might be able to do it..

U can get a part time job. Bottom line is that you need something to keep you going while building your IM business.

Remember that you also need money to do IM.

Good luck

I think most answers will really depend on each persons situation to answer that question. Gut can be tricky sometimes, but if you follow your gut, don't back out when things start to look a little grim. It really depends on how much you need to bring a day to survive, and what your okay with sacrificing out of your life. Thankfully, in my situation i have numerous ways to make a daily living, and a fall back for when those daily livings don't work out. If your in a situation to where all you need is something like $20 a day to live, then thats something you can make really easily online alone without needing a steady job. last October I was fired from apple as a remote tier 2 iOS support. Sweet gig man, Company provided new iMac, 18 h/r, tons of overtime, not many calls to take that often, etc etc... After I got fired I decided this was the last I used my skills and knowledge to make another person richer than me and i started my journey into IM in January of this year, and i'm getting around 50-60 a month right now from it, and it grows more and more each week, all be it a small growth, progress is progress. I'm able to pay my bills and fund my IM by utilizing all the resources i have available to me for free. I made some serious cutbacks in life to make this happen, but those cut backs were things i've grown used to spoiling myself on that should have been trimmed long ago. That being said, i'm also the happiest and most at peace i've ever been in my life, and would never go back to having a full time job again. One day i know i'll be able to fund all that again with my IM alone, and some times things are tight, but for me getting fired was worth it to me and i'm glad it happened. No one can make the call your wanting to make at the end of the day except you, but there is always a way to adjust your life to fit your means. Do what you think is best for you, and give it everything you have, and don't second guess yourself about it. That's time you could be using to make progress instead. Just never foolishly throw yourself into a situation to be homeless, stay smart about it and don't get caught up in fantasies of what if. Best of luck to what ever you decide to do.

Ive started with cpa but now i have my own job, and cpa is just for fun :D

Yes, that's what I am afraid.. Thanks for the reminding.. I have always keep my IM bussiness cashflow monitored.. and luckyly found a way to do it step by step.. Like, I will not invest if it's not possible.. just use everything that I had to generate income, and divide some profit to scale up..

so in my case, I don't really need money to do IM.. but, I need it more to support living, while the profit is not enough for it..

You have opened my eyes, I though it is good for 'just for fun' for the starter.. There will be a time for everything.. No need to rush :D

Why dont you safe up so you can live for example 6months without income

Proudly to tell, yeah! I am in where all I need is something like $20 a day to live.. and I don't want to wait any longer with my job, to seize my life with IM.. The longer I delay, my risk tolerance level will decrease..

anyway, nice story man! I wished somebody else is the one who do the decision to fire me, rather than I decide to fire my self from the job.. It's kinda dilemmatic decision to take.. you will lose all the things that support your live and your IM, at the same time you will get the opportunity to scale up your IM..

But yeah, I need to decide it myself.. need to overcome this myself.. I will build up some courage and get over with it!

and yeah, three years ago I throw myself into a homeless just because of some fantasies, before I got my job now.. but now, I feel I am different.. I will decide based on my gut, and the data I have now.. It is shown that my IM technique has been proven and gave some profits.. and the profit can be increase significantly, if I let go of my job..

Thanks for sharing your story.. it gives me courage!

cheers,

I have.. in my estimation, I can live only 2 months without income.. but, it's hard to tell whether my IM income can catch up during the two months..
I want to make my saving as the last option to stay alive..

I prefer to have a steady small income from part time job first, before depending from the limited saving.
