How do you go about finding newly released songs and determine which songs will likely become hits in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year later?

But you are not on You Tube here ..., if you post your question here once somebody will eventually give you an answer, most people on this forum are working and are busy getting $$!

To give you a response on your question: nobody knows if a particular song will become successful, it depends on a lot of factors like the marketing strategy, quality of the record label, public , ...

One year from now? Those songs probably haven't even been released yet.

I am a music supervisor & work with record execs. They tell me "The money is in the chorus. If the intro grabs you & the chorus gives life you got something" Hope it helps.

This isnt specific to music but there is a great book by Malcolm Gladwell called Tipping Point. Talks about why something/people become popular and why some dont. Really interesting how he breaks down the groups of people that make things popular. Find people that know about music that is popular months before they become hits. (Mavens) or find people that are connected with everyone connectors. Malcolm Gladwell is one of my favorite authors and this book is gold explain why somethings are popular and why somethings flop.
