While all great suggestions were already provided, I go straight to majestic and check the top ten sites....enough data there in conjunction with analyzing the competing sites onpage to determine what it will take to sit on page one.

In some of the guides OP sugest to exlude from our analysis all sites with a DA lower than 20 and a PA lower than 30 to avoid analysing and potentially replicating low quality content and just focus on analysing stronger sites, which makes sense obviously but my question is when you´re analysing the top 10-20 results on google, it should be hard to outrank websites that are in those positions with a DA20 and PA30 or lower?
Assuming we do a solid job with on site SEO, solid SEO content and a few links here and there, can we outrank those sites? how about sites with a bit higher DA/PA?
