Hey guys,

So I was wondering, what are everyone's tactics or approaches for mitigating bad reviews.?

FOOD for discussion ~

With Yelp and Google for example -

Auditing and flagging bad reviews - how successful have you guys been with this? does buying yelp advertising help with them removing reviews at all in your experience?

helping businesses create incentives customers to leave reviews - structure an offer or program to convert customers into leaving positive reviews.

**selling reviews is apparently illegal, so we're focusing on methods that aren't blackhat here. risking and client getting flagged is very unprofessional as well.

all ideas and input are welcome and encouraged! Give us suggestions

Hope to see some interesting insight.

My goal is almost always suppression. Even if you clean up the negative reviews, another bad review can make you start from scratch getting more reviews. If nobody ever sees the reviews, good or bad doesn't matter.

Even in regards to google and yelp?

Try to control the flow of reviews if you can by encouraging the reviews to be left on your site / page; then filtering bad ones. Otherwise you can do stuff like positive seo for articles on sites that review you well.
