Find something that interests you. You're not going to be successful on YT promoting something that you don't have a passion for/have no first hand knowledge of.

So, let's say you're a body builder and into physical fitness. Maybe you want to market supplements, especially those that you've used yourself to great success.

Just throwing together videos based on any random CPA program will net ZERO success. No one (or, at least very few people) are on YT searching for a get rich quick scheme, for example. They're on there to be entertained.

So, think about a niche that you can sell AND make entertaining, then find a product that matches that criteria. Thereafter, analyze your competition and see what you can do better. I own the search results for a number of the niches I've outlined for myself on YT. My competition has all but given up. In addition, thanks to YT, I'm also on the front page of Google for these keywords.

This wouldn't have happened if I didn't make quality vids that were genuinely engaging for the audience. So, the short of it is, no one can really tell you how to pick a niche because it's so dependent on your personal strengths.

    ^^^ exactly what he said.

of course when picking a niche on youtube you actually have to think smartly. most people don't come on youtube looking to buy things. they come on youtube looking for tutorials, listen to music or watch videos. so keep this in mind when picking your niche

You could place a main keyword of interest in the youtube keyword tool (google it) to find some ideas of what people are looking for. Then come up with an "offer".

Thanks for the replies. For example I found keyword, who have:

    Monthly Search: 12 700
    Results: 28 600

    Averages for TOP10 results:
    Favorites: 113

    It's Easy, Medium or Hard?
