Hey, I'm trying to figure out the best way to check my ranking in the serps for certain keywords across a number of pages, I've thought about coding something, but I'm sure there is a quicker way. I really like Market Samuari's rank checker, but I'd prefer something standalone, I don't mind Traffic Travis's rank checker either, but I enjoy looking at graphs at how my backlinks/pagerank/ranking are increasing/decreasing over-time. Anyway, any suggestions? Thanks in advance - Alex
I'm also anxious to know this answer. I've been studying and practicing SEO quite effectively lately and i feel like the last thing i need in my tool box is a nice cheap/free way to keep track of keywords all across the board. OP, here's some good links from the 'white hat SEO' section of BHW http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/white-hat-seo/159242-some-links-help-you-out.html there's at least one or two that'll tell u your rank for keywords on google, yahoo, bing i've been seeing a lot of ads on f-book lately for a site called seo cockpit. they seem to offer a dashboard that reports to u about your SEO placements on a regular basis. there's a small monthly fee. might be worth it.
Thanks for that link, good thread, SEO cockpit does look quite good: http://www.seocockpit.com/html/pricing.php
i'm using : http://www.SEOAnalyzer.net .. it covers almost all SEO analytic tools you can find out there..
Just to report back on SEO cockpit. it works well enough to do what it does. meaning it's a good place to have all of your keywords in one location that consistently daily tells you where you rank in google, yahoo, and bing. also there's a awstats plugin so if u use awstats it'll tell u your traffic as well. a nice little dashboard with all your info in one place. do you NEED to pay for it? no, if you're organized enough with spreadsheets and your own system then you can manually follow your keywords on any of these other free services.
Yeah, I have to say from all of the tools/services/processes I've used, I like Market Samurai's the best. The only thing I wish it did was to automatically run on a schedule to get the data automatically. But I love that I can track a domain in the SERPs from 1000th place. You can really track the progress of a new site rising up in the ranks. I'd highly recommend it.
