Hey folks,
I was looking through flippa finished auctions and saw recently a few finished auctions where the person was flipping sites for 2-3K . Those were claimed to be profitable and even had some paypal screenshots. One of those websites thats been just sold is
Code:
[URL]https://flippa.com/2665095-3-in-1-backlinks-business-made-958-in-first-12-days-no-exp-required[/URL]
The site is SHIT! Has no backlinks and only a few weeks old.
The seller claims that he outsource the jobs and he gets free traffic from secret sources... It clearly sounds like a crock of shit!

Are the buyers stupid? Can't they see through bullshit or am I missing something?
Please some one explain it to me, spill some light ...

It really is shit, but he done great job presenting it and amazingly he has great feedback
he did real well selling that low value stuff for that much

He's a great seller, he can sell with fake screenshot and all. 99% have fake screenshot on Flippa.
Not like me. I wasn't able to sell real sites for 3 month of revenue with real screenshot and proofs.

It's funny [or actually not from a buyers' point perspective] - I've been looking into this guy wondering the same thing you did. Sent an e-mail to the supposed PayPal-address that is taking in all the 'sales' and surprise, surprise - it bounced. Doesn't even exist.

Then in the ad copy it says:
Code:
This business has made $942 within 8 days! CLICK HERE FOR PROOF

Keep this pace up and you will make $3532 per month in revenue!

[B]Because of Flippa's new update, it is site policy that sites under 2 months old cannot claim any revenue. Because of this, the revenue statistics shown on the right should be taken as a grain of salt, as it is inaccurate.[/B]

And he claims no revenues in the ad description stats.. guess that's how he covers himself. The mind blowing thing is, he has 100% positive feedback.. I guess he is using a % that he got on the sale to 'buy' some sales himself (after all, you can set up multiple e-mail addies in PP quite easily).. Buy 2 or 3 'sales' a day and chances are high that the buyer is 'content'.. then when you stop buying the fake sales, the buyer probably already has left positive feedback and you're covered by Flippa's TOS - after all you did get some revs.

^ That is how I think he got to $50k in 'fraudulent' sales within a matter of months. It must be a solid business model for him; sell a completely useless site for 300 times its value, take 30% of the sale proceeds to fake orders and perhaps fake some traffic, get positive feedbacks. Rinse and repeat.

Hope he can sleep at night. That is not BH but outright scamming.

Might of brought Meatheads book! That book has helped LOADS of people flip and sell products!

Its not what you say, its how you say it!

Don't hate people who do better than you, his simply saying that Flippa state you cannot claim that a site under two months old earns money, so his taking the piss out of that rule!

Presentation is pretty good, yes his a bit vague and I wouldn't personally but it but I would read it

Those screen shots might be fake, or they may not but its quite plausible to get loads of traffic/cash from a new site but he might have burnt the funds dry so wants a sale

I checked freshly listed sites and he lists several of them for sale... it is amazing me how buyers just don't see past the bullshit. Why in the world someone would sell such profitable website for so cheap! And every one of them claims that he or she needs a funds for a new business or project. SAD....Very sad....

Meathead and bryon wrote an awesome book about flipping check the sales threads

Sometimes people do weird stuff aren't they?

Welcome to the world of money laundering.

What is that super secret weapon to get traffic that seller offers for 499 I wonder... ?

the site is down lol
for updating
I guess it wasnt all it was cracked up to be

flippa sucks mostly fraud sellers, I would stick to building my own mate, or drop ship,

this is my opinion, and some might disagree, but you live and learn as they say,

I wonder if the loophole on the financial claims - works for this seller is
because even though he may say;

"In fact I make so much money from this site, I can't tell whether I'm taking a shit standing up,
or whether the money is turning to gold and running down my leg"

BUT----

when you look on the right sidebar legend - which are the stats you supply to
flippa (my characterization), this is what you see:

Claimed Financials
"No revenue is being claimed."

I wonder if that's how he gets around it "no revenue claimed?"
I looked at a number of his auctions - there all cookie cutters

Hali~!:)

I remember one guy who had a secret weapon. He had a site generating 150,000 uniques/day.
What he did was putting a banner on top for his new sites, generating a huge amount of uniques/day for a new site.
Once sold, the banner changed for another new site and the sold one was back to zero...

When hammer meets nail meets head

I have seen other sellers selling similarly the same type of sites. Seo service that is outsourced and making 1-2k in < 10 days with paypal screenies and I guess buyers are mostly buying because of 2 things:-

His secret outsourcers.
His traffic method.

Some other sellers are doing the same with "video testimonials" niche sites.

hahaha... All flippa buyer stupid but they have alot of money... Lets dumb that stupid.. Says flippers..

This guy is selling the same site over and over. Look at the possible copies list in Flippa, click on the second one. Its essentially an exact copy. What a scammer.
