I have some website ideas that involve jobs in specific areas. But I don't know how some websites pull up jobs via a zip code or city name.

    Here's an example:

    Code:
    http://www.snagajob.com/job-seeker/jobs/search-results.aspx?postalCode=91016
Is it some sort of plugin that I could use to populate a similar site with city-specific jobs? How does the above site do it?

    Thanks all!

That site will not be using plugins as its not a wordpress site, its in .asp

There are however many themes and plugins for wordpress for job websites, if thats what your looking to use?

In wordpress the search would work via the database

Actually what I'd like is a city-specific site so that when someone went there, they'd immediately see jobs for that city or surrounding cities. Something that would automatically update on a regular basis.

I don't necessarily want a search bar since the site will be city-specific.

    Thanks...

With wordpress it would be quite easy...just associate a city with a tag or category and then pull the tag/category into the loop.

So, for a wordpress noob, could you elaborate?

    Thanks!

EDIT: I also found out about XML feeds from indeed.com
