Depends what kind of proxy you're using. You can scrape them and they won't last much more than a couple of hours, on the other hand if you buy a subscription they would last for however long you are willing to pay for them.

exactly Public ips works for some mintues to some days and Private proxies works as long as you pay for them simple as they are managed and hosted by vendors of it :)

Scraping without any software is not so simple. With software it can be incredibly simple. My software (in my sig) for example will run endlessly getting the types of proxies you want. To get the type of proxies you want you do need some sort of software to not just harvest the proxies but to test them and then re-test to make sure they have not gone dead after they were initially tested as working.

I still havent figured out how to use proxies outside of using them on Internet explorer... so I may be wrong...

But dont they have programs that rotate the proxies after a certain amount of time or whatever?

Or for specific purposes... like social media bots... rotate per account or whatever?

So wouldnt it be possible... and probable for a person making said bot to have a function of their bot where... if this account.... this proxy... if this proxy not work... new proxy from said list?

edit:: besides the fact that you may save some time with a better (paid) program... i dont see why you couldnt do it with a few free ones...

    1 to scrape...
    1 to rotate the proxies
    1 test

i feel like those types of programs must be free somewhere... like not cracked... but like old school programs from way back

Yes it's possible only if the programmer supports it. Meaning if he doesn't have it as a feature then you have to ask them to implement it on their software.
