I run a compilation channel on youtube, it is not my main source of income but has generated around 1000 dollars extra each month. Recently with advertisers pulling out my revenue has decreased alot and I am looking for ways to boost income.

I remember seeing other users here talking about adding third party links with opportunities ( complete a survey, a chance to win an iphone or something else etc )

I average around 50 000 views every day, what are my options and what risks am I taking by putting up third party links to boost my income?

It might be better for you to monetize traffic by setting affiliate links and inviting your followers to subscribe/view/click. You can get paid per each subscribed user, or simply per click (although the payouts are lower). Don't forget that it needs to be with matching content, targeted audience and most probably desktop traffic, since youtube is mostly used through PCs.

there are some risks associated w/ posting links. you could charge other people $/hr to have their link be in the first line of vid description that way it is only up for a couple of hours and you have less of a chance of getting caught.

It dependson if the viewers are willing to spend money or not. You can't just get paid for views with no sales, else advertisers will block your traffic and report it as low quality.

why not just product videos to affiliate products?
