Sorry to all the scrapebox and spammers in this forum lol,

but how can i have a 100 percent prevention of spam commments on my blog? I am going to be receiving comments and I dont want to have to moderate a huge list of spam comments to find the good ones....

    Thanks!

I haven't tried this one yet (as I usually just don't allow comments on my sites), but this might help you:

    Code:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-recaptcha/

When you find a 100% effective method make sure to let me know.
Sorry man I really have no idea. As far as I know there really isn't much you can do, besides the standard bs stuff.

I use the plugin that makes the commenter check the tick box. That has stopped most spam. I still have one guy trying to hit me with "levitra" and "viagra" comments, apparently manually. All I do in that case is block the ip each time it shows up.

All you can do is slow it down. If you build a fence someone will open a gate. The only way is to moderate or to turn them off. There are some good captchas but I get past them.

Thanks for the advice, I would give you thanks but I'm on my iPhone tapatalk app ;)

Its funny, I used to pay for scrapebox services. But I actually need to blog for real now and get real comments.

There should be a blackhat tool that prevents spams too lol

even I'm stump on how to stop them LOL

adsense seems to ban people with blogs with spam so they did with one of my account.

you really have to moderate them and approve the ones that are not spam for now, but if you have thousands per day its a great headache

Captcha will solve 90%, the other 10% is solvable by manually going through comments.

I don't mind if spammers leave they comments that make some sort of sense. It looks good to have comments.

    Blocking IPs is futile.
Closing comments after a week or two helps. Spammers go to older articles hoping you won't mind.

I filter for links in the comment and I would still end up with dozens of spam entries.

My website got on a list that someone must have been selling because I was getting hit hard by 2 o3 websites a day. Different companies each day. Pages and pages of spam.

However one day after being overwhelmed by post including 15 comments from the same website before 1pm I took the step. I was so angry I didn't care if I never got another comment!

What I did has basically stopped spam on my site. I went to comments.php and removed the line of code that allows the program or person to put in their website URL. No backlink can be created. Now I only have 2 or 3 and sometimes no spam.

I kinda miss the spam, except for the viagara and the one for some sort of sex toys (my husband had to explain the post to me yuk). Some comments are entertaining.

Anyone is welcome to leave a comment that makes sense with a backlink in the text on my website. I will give them my website address. Just not 15 of the same one on the same morning.

I read an article that backlinks aren't as important as they use to be so hopefully they will slow down soon and I can add the line of code back in.

Use several captchas of different type at the same time. Users rarely mind having to type 2 combinations instead of one if the characters are easy to recognize; recaptcha kind of sucks in this regard.

Additionally throw in 2 easy math questions and the thousands of spam comments will become lower 10s.

It has to do with the fact that most captcha solving methods cost money and most software is not designed to handle multiple chanllenges from a single url. At any rate, I find it a lot easier than changing field names etc.

Akismet is good. I've had a site spammed to death, like hundreds of comments a day. Must have gotten onto one of those lists. I installed akismet, and haven't had a single spam comment since. If you want it for free, just open a free wordpress blog and you'll get a free akismet key which you can use for your hosted blogs.
