I'm looking into creating a website bot that will fill a text box with a few numbers and letters in random order. There is a total of 8 characters. But there need to be specific values like it can only use the numbers 2,4,1 and the letters X,H,D,A,W,L,V. Also it can only have a max of 2 of those letters. I'm just wondering where a good place to start. Thanks for helping.

Maybe you should look at captcha solving service that will full fill your needs. If you are using python/php then you can use deathbycaptcha/decapther api to fill it out.

With this, will I be able to add proxies so that maybe 10 or so bots try putting the info into the text field. And if it doesn't work, it will try a new code, and if it does work, it will be able to log this to a log file.

Yep, you can. In which language you are trying to achieve this?

Well I read up on it that C# might be the easiest way to achieve this. But if you are recommending something else that would make it easier, I would love to look into it.

If you are going to do in C#, i would ask a few questions first.

You are trying to automate in sockets or using webbrowser class of C#. You will have to perform few things like downloading the captcha image first, sending it to the captcha solving service, and it will return you the response text and then you can paste that text into the textbox field.

    Take a look at : https://github.com/wallerdev/Decaptcher

Also, google around Deathbycaptcha API .NET etc. you will find its library.

Note that I do most of the coding part in Python, so if you were trying to achieve it in python I could help you out really well.

deppends, maybe you can solve the captcha yourself with OCR (tesseract for example).
as shaggy93 suggested you might just be better off doing it in python. python is much easier as C# and since you just want to automate a simple task it should do the trick!
