How can I recover from the Panda updates? Anybody have any advice for me? I had some sites ranking pretty high (I purchased these and made nearly double on my 8k investment before Panda) that were primarily profile backlinks but also some comments. No intricate link wheel or web 2.0 strategy had been implemented to disguise the blackhat appearance of the backlinks.

Here is the thing, I know most of you are going to say that's why I fell in rankings. I refuse to believe this because they had sat there for nearly two years and had had no work done to them within months of the time they severely dropped in ranks. It was timed with the different panda updates and now my income has been crushed.

I'm wondering what to do. Would it be better to simply start from scratch on the whole network of sites or to somehow try to get these out of the depths of Google search? How would I get them out? I don't really even know how to white hat create links anymore because I feel these techniques I had thought to be white hat are just slow manual versions of the black hat techniques.

So looking for two pieces of advice. Do I start over on fresh domains? How do I bring them out of the sandbox? They aren't de-indexed but they are sandboxed I believe. Not in the first 200 results for what they used to dominate.

    1) Add new and unique content.
    2) Add web 2.0 link pyramids and blast with scrapebox/Xrumer/AMR.
    3) Add plenty of high pr social bookmarks.
    4) Add Contextual backlinks from high pr sites.

try buying a handful of links from the neighborhood sites; Or try just buying links from the authority sites with a lot of trust. And then wait see if it recovers.

What you said here is completely illogical. Just because something worked well pre panda does not mean that same thing will not be a problem post panda. Panda changed some aspects of SEO. Either adapt or quit.

Now, as to these links, no one knows whether or not this is the reason that you lost your ranking. From the sounds of it, you have several sites, set up basically the same way with similar link profiles. This is a great time for some experimenting. Try some different things with different sites and see which is restored to the SERPs quickest. Here are some things you can try:

    1) Deoptimization. There seems to be a lot of overoptimization penalties associated with Panda. Keep your keyword density low and don't stuff your images with alt tags.

    2) High quality links. They still work. High PR blog networks with in content links are working well for me.

    3) Redirection to new domains or subdomains. If your domain was penalized, this might work.

    4) Add fresh content. This hasn't made much of a difference to me but others swear by it.

Try some of these out and see if any work to counteract the effects of Panda. If they do, implement them on the other sites.

The panda was targeted at spammy content and spammy backlinks.

So what you need to do is make unique content and make some high PR backinks

Remember with the new panda update it is about quality not quantity.

What I meant with my illogical message is that my penalties are definitely panda induced. I'm not trying to say that it should work after panda or anything like that. So you misunderstood that part.

The other advice I liked. I'll try some different things with different domains and see what works and then use that to bring back other domains.

I just don't understand this new panda. You can't have spammy links, but the pyramid concept allows spammy links to build up authority on web 2.0 pages which when pointing to your site are considered good. It's weird to me, but I'll give it a shot.

For the record, I do have sites of my own, I didn't buy them all. I used to know what I was doing, but ever since the panda updates I've been pretty much at a standstill. Looks like I have a bit of work to do, I'm talking about like 20-30 sites.
