I put one in last night and got banned the next day as I checked it this morning.

Of course I 1st try and put the link to my site in the sig but sometimes they won't let you do that/it doesn't show up so I tried putting one in an (admittedly) spammy post and they caught me and banned me. Antoher error I realized is I did it in the most busy 'general' forums. My rationale was that if it was a content post then they might not see it as spam but looking back there was no content really, heh (lesson learned).

So today I signed up again and this time tried doing it in a thread one of the forums which looked least used.

    Any other tips?

A good method is to create your account, wait a week and then go back and put in your link.

Establish yourself in the forums first and make a few relevant posts.Do not appear as though you are trying to sell something.

as a forum webmaster I can tell you this:
    1. filling out the profile section is a quick flag of a bot registration. In fact, my forum automatically ip bans people who fill out those fields, including the website one. Just leave those fields blank

    2. make your title vauge. Something like, "have you heard about this?" isntead of, "OMG CHECK OUT FREE PORN OMGZZZZ"

    3. Actually put some effort into writing the thread content, make sure its a broad topic, encourages people to respond to it with feedback, and don't include more than one link. People like to read interesting articles/content so disguise your spam in that article.

    4. post in english

    5. browse this forum and analyze what others are posting in their OP.

First create account and then have some posts , then add your signature ,
And also read the rules first .

In your post, put your link in a smiley face... if you use any type of character it underlines it, but it will not underline an image with a link...

wait, is your question about doing a sig in BHW? just wondering as you only had 1 post. As in BHW, its pretty strict the rules, so be sure to read them prior to doing any sig - if you wasnt talking about BHW then i apologise

create account, do not add link immediately, login the account several times during 2-3 weeks periods, then add links.

Ye I had a similar idea today though mine is a lil different.

I tested it out on a post on a random forum today to check my hypothesis though I dunno if it's the same for all.

My idea is to write a legit content post then let it go stale and drop off the 1st page (maybe even deliberately write a boring but legit thread so noone will bother it) .

Once it has dropped off the front page add the anchour text into my original post with the edit function so it won't bump back to the top.

I tried this on a forum editing a post and it didn't bump it (though I dunno if this is the case on other forums).

The smiley face is a good idea but you lose linkjuice if you don't put keyword anchour text right? so anchour text is ideal no? How much juice would you lose anchour vs. no anchour? Better than nothing though I guess.

I got banned for the second time today on the same forum after reregistered and I tried posting somewhere I thought was a quieter part of the forum. Do mods get alerts about this or something cos they had unlinked my post and banned me after only a couple hours.

Try posting from a proxy. That way they will have no idea that you re-registered. Then make ten legit replies to other threads in. Then start a thread with a legit post. If you don't know what to post then just go to the forum's archive from years back and just copy and paste a thread from back then. It works.

Seems like the forum you are posting on is top notch in stopping spam.

If you want to spam it you have to put the extra time in.

Also do realize that some forums are impossible to spam since every new post and thread will get reviewed by a mod and it seems like they have 24/7 mods.

On my forum I don't allow url posting, image posting or videos. Then again its just a general Q/A type of forum.

You can get a lot of followers on any forum. Write like a real expert, be helpful, offer help in getting solutions to the members (your own products and services for example, but they should be relevant to their troubles, create short but masterly posts, add a Sig link (ask mods the permission to do so on some forums and give them reasons) and if allowed then add the signature link. If members feel that you're a real master solution maker and a real help on the forum then you can get some of them clicking on your link.

Build up that trust factor and offer real worthy solutions. There is obviously nothing like a "sticky" spam or scam sig-link. It falls one day or the other for sure.

All these can make your sig-link stick. But do one mistake (for example, come through as a scam or spam) anywhere and you say goodbye to the link and they say goodbye to you.

Well you just documented the whitehat way and I was asking about blackhat.

I'm fine doing the whitehat method but it takes time.

I just wanna do mass forum spams for the linkjuice atm.

It's a nice compromise and not against the rules if they allow a sig then I'll do a value reply but I've noticed most don't allow sigs which is why I'm having to sneak around by putting the links in posts.

I'm finding this stuff really cracks me up tbh. While typing I will be typing really lame stuff and thinking 'all those years that is what the spammers were up to' and just bursting out laughing to myself crossing my fingers it doesn't get found.

    Work should be fun yo.

Now whether I will make any money from being so foolhardy is another matter :D.

Is that only the first time that someone create a profile and visit your forum? Or when do you allow people to fill out the details and url?

Offtopic: What kind of forum software do you use?

Try mixing best of both worlds! A little bit of BH is good with a little bit of WH! Get the trust first, anyway, it will be more fruitful in making your money the BH way. Like for example, except for the IM and a very few niches, members wouldn't guess what is a BH or what is a WH "link". Even most mods would give you a wide berth and you can move on with ease!

And who says a fast hit and run BH way is the best? Try 10~50 (whatever) different forums for a month the "WH" way I explained, and check if you're getting your traffic to your, err... , BH products or services... ;) It will be more productive and sticky for your BH/WH cause, IMHO.

Gain trust first... that's the best step in using any color hat.

Think the way all these big multinationals are doing on TV and other media... most are using BH ways, and above that, they are also cheating! But they have already gained the trust, haven't they? That took some time off their logs, but now they are making money every minute...

    P.S.:
It takes time? Outsource the init tasks, see where you are heading on every forums, and then take over the job and make profit! :)

Think and do big! Be the GodFather, why be one of his sidekicks? i,.e., don't just get limited by thinking barriers --- BH and WH barriers... mix them at will, who is going to stop you from using the best of the both? Don't just think in terms of hitting and running; obviously that's not what BH is all about. :)
