    Hi guys,

how would you monetize Winter Olympic Games (Figure Skating)? Do you guys know any CPA Offer relevant to the Winter Olympics / Figure Skating?

I have a website about Figure Skating which is getting about 100 uniques per day. They are not looking to buy any products but rather they are looking for the figure skating news. Now for the time of Winter Olympic Games I expect traffic from the search engines to increase at least 10 times (based on the history of G00gle insights for search), that should temporarily bump my traffic to about 500 uniques per day.

So maybe someone could suggest CPA Offer relevant to the Winter Olympics / Figure Skating?

(I've seen one survey saying smth like "win $3,500 to get tickets to Vancouver Olympics" or smth like that. I did not liked it cause the landing page looked a bit lame)

I am looking for some offer where people would get Olympic souvenirs, 2010 Olympic DVDs, 2010 Olympic apparel, poster, coffee mug, etc

i googled something like "2010 winter olympic game affiliates" and nothing came up, there might not be anything specifically to sell for the games.
the best two things that come to mind are selling snowboards/skis/ olympic game equipment like that.
or go to a website like zazzle.com, cafepress.com, or spreadshirt.com and make a custom looking t-shirt or clothing, then make a shop and put it on your site.

    be creative, good luck.

If you figure out how to monetize the Olympics, talk to NBC. They are projecting to lose $200 million lol.

"They are not looking to buy any products...."

Whenever there's a big event you see an increase in impulse buys.

Tour de France - in Europe where it's popular you see a rise in the sales of racing bikes.
Soccer - Start of the season, in the UK you see kids playing soccer in the streets and an increase of kids joining football clubs.
World Championship Football will show a rise in the sales of TV's (flatscreen these days) in the countries where it's popular and where people can afford them.

The merchants know this and every time again they come up with special offers on related goods.

If you can't find any CPA for this event look for products (especially those with limited discounts) related to skating to show on your site.

Your traffic may not be the buying kind but during this event they will be in a different state of mind.
Especially when their country is performing good.

Just a side note. This euphoria doesn't last long. Many items bought on impulse will end unused somewhere back in the garage.

Tickets via StubHub and make a commission. I've had two winter olympic transactions so far and one was for $600 + order.
